Am I correct in understanding that the Founder's Program ends sometime in the early week of this next month?

I was also wondering is it possible AFTER the founder's program ends, assuming you have bought founders status of any tier, is it possible to upgrade despite the founders program having expired?

According to Dev's, founders can upgrade up until August 7th.

Yep.
Aug 7 is the day all Founders get access to beta and there will be no more wipes.
And of course this day is the end of Founder programm.

It was never 100% confirmed that its Aug 7th will be the official last day, it could be sooner then that, but it will be no later the Aug 7th. As for the wipe, I just posted that a few min ago with a date that July 17th is the last official wipe, but as stated in my post about that, things do come up and change. I have done enough alpha test and beta test to know, things do come up that were unforeseen and changes on dates and sometimes necessary wipes are needed. But as of now, July 17th is the only official date that has been given.

Whelp my problem is, I want the Elite founder tier, but I can't afford it. I can afford Veteran tho. D:

Not exactly. They said you can upgrade for as long as the Founder's deal is active, which may or may not end August 7th. They still haven't officially announced its expiration though so it will likely end then or in the opening days of August. I would expect them to announce it at least a week in advance and they haven't done so yet. If they don't announce it soon it will most likely run to August.

in that case, buy the veteran just now and 'get your foot in the door' that way you can always upgrade it later

Thats sorta where I was Sarge, I would like a founders mech and all, but mortgage and bills -heh...
- Alas, the title of "Founder" was mostly what i wanted out of the deal, and to give a little support to the people working hard to create this game.
I been playing BT/MW for since i was a teen in the 80's, the whole thing being fueled by "Robotech" (Macross) ~ Loved it~!
Used to play on "Mplayer" with Mechwarrior 2 during the clan wars and leagues, so i just HAD to have the title ~ Woot.

I'd go for it and get the basic founder pack if you're and old schooler, if ya don't, you'll heart will sink every time you see the tag Just DO it!
