so the New Event,

(TERRITORIAL CHALLENGE EVENT)

the Pic in the Event looks like the reformed Caustic Valley,
which would make sense with MWO having to Patch,

but i also noticed something else in the Event,
2 Standard maps(Caustic and Bog) and 2 CW maps (Boreal and Grim)
this and that MWO is Patching (7680MBs) i find very interesting,

to what ive read and seen a reworked map is roughly(1200MB-1800MB),
could it be that PGI has redone 4 maps and is giving them to us early?

we need Eyes on Ground Zero, im Still Patching so i cant Yet,
who ever gets Patched up First Run a game and see if all 4 are Reworked,

Thanks :)

Edit-
it looks like i was reinstalling MWO,
stoped it ran the Fixer and got on no problems and no Patch,
Dam You MWO Launching Trolling me with PATCH, DAM YOU!!!,
well at least the Event should be fun, :)

I haven't had to download any patch. Not sure what's up on your end.

No, there's been no patch. At least not in my end. I find it doubtful they'd release the map just yet.

What worries me though is that image. If that's the new caldera, then they may have just centralized the map even more... :P

According to the town hall the map, in terms of size, wasn't change.
What they did was add obstacles around the caldera to prevent the disgusting nascar that happens.

Fair enough, but having the sides of the calderas raised so high so they turn into walls more less... I'm not a fan of corridor maps.

Sigh, this event. Yet another reason to hate being a light pilot.

I didn't get to read there was an event going until I came to the forums after my first game.

I had a feeling something was up, because the very first game I dropped it was like 8 guys on both teams using mass LRM spam builds..

sigh.

I am curious as to how the Prizes work.

At the end of this, do we get a single Tier-1 or Tier-2 prize pack for hitting the score?
Or can we actually end up with 9 prize packs..

2700 MC is a pretty sweet deal for any event, and that is just for pub bracket..

Might play CW for this event, but on the Clan side. Much better chance of doing well, despite IS tonnage boost.

First challenge in a while that has been challenging for me, as a tier 5 pond scum pug scrub.

No doubt the high speed, low drag tier 1 operators are revelling in their forthcoming prizes already though...

The grind will be long, and based on the info, you are likely to be disqualified anyways.

If you're trying to test people's intent to disco-farm, your (poor) game stability is being tested.

If I die, then quit early does it count as a disconnect? Honestly I rarely stick around unless it's a close game. I just want to play not watch my team lose, search for DC's, etc

Disconnects only count if you left before your mech was destroyed.
