How you play a game relates directly to how one lives their lives.

I know I play games like Skyrim because I love to run around with a sword and kill random people, it's just my style, game and rl.

Decapitations of strangers are the best.

To all you self absorbed, twitch players with the mentality of a child this is why you DO NOT team treason.

2 days ago we had a conquest match on canyon network, we held 4 caps and a huge points lead but were down tour last guy. he was in a firestarter that was literally glitched in terrain and could not move no matter how he tried.

We as a team over voice chat ASKED HIM to shut down to avoid detection so we could win. he did and not 3 seconds later one of our team treasoned him IN CONQUEST WHEN WE WERE ABOUT TO WIN!

The offending player got screen capped and reported.

Contrary to what some of you believe PGI does ban people for it, the process from what i heard from somebody I played with who got busted-

1st offense-warning
2nd-1 week ban
3rd-1 month ban
4th-account ban

If I see team treason for any reason I screen cap and report, you have been warned.

I asked the player why they're shutting down, and see if it's a valid reason. And if not I screen snap then report.

"You are supposed to report the player to PGI, not reveal their location."

Yup.

And its funny when people quote the non-participation rule but then admit they will break the team treason rule...

Were not. Look at this.... http://mwomercs.com/...nt/page__st__20

Start down the slope and ignore the minor and it grows like a fungus. Your done for sure. In the end you will have nothing but cheaters and exploiters to play with. This isn't real combat, its not life and death it a damn game. Cheating on your sister playing monopoly may be cute but pretty soon no one will want to play. Only the devious and underhanded will gain pleasure from it. You tryhards are killing any chance this game will grow because you will only attract sociopaths in the end. Then you will cry when smarter sociopaths out do your twisting of the rules and no honest players are left.

Sheesh, this thread derailed quickly. Going back to my original post, I still think any action that hurts the team as a whole should affect that player's personal match score. Points are score by capping points or damaging the opposing force. Team-kills and friendly-fire certainly reduce personal scores, so why not shut downs? If your heat management skills are bad and are constantly overheating, your match score should drop every second you're shut down. If you manually shut down to avoid combat, your score should drop. If you shut down to preserve a win, then you'll get your points back upon victory. If you shut down for 7 minutes to avoid a death, your final score will reflect that action.

Since the match score determines what tier to place individuals, their play style should determine what tier they prefer to play in. For whatever reason a player has to run away and hide ( K/D ratio, role-playing, griefing, etc ), he should be grouped with those of like mindset. No mud slinging or finger pointing needed and certainly no need to bother the dev team.

Your deciding if their reason is valid? LOL. They have no obligation to even answer you.

True, but no response also gets a screen shoot and a report. Id rather leave it in PGI's hands than be done for treason no matter how annoying it can be to wait out the match.

And by asking you now put it in the shut down players hands.
