No Ptt In Voip

I can't get PTT to work, audio is fine. The audio setup is a Logitech GM35 headset which works great with TS3. I have tried assigning different keystrokes and controller buttons to PTT and none of them work although any of them will work if assigned as PTT in TS3. I don't have any other keyboard related issues, everything else keyboard related works as it should. I have tried not running TS3, didn't help.
I believe this problem started in the late July patch, I have reported the problem to PGI 4 times since then and got no response except a request for DxDiags (which looked clean).
Does anyone else have any experience with this problem or know of a workaround?

What I've done:
Disable VOIP in the MWO Settings. Save. Reenable them. Save.
Then try again if it helped. If not, try to set your controls back to default and try it via Capslock-key

I have had something similar and it did start with the latest patch, I believe. If you check patch feedback, people have reported that the push to talk stops working. For me, it seems to stop working periodically after a few matches. I always had a different button for teamspeak versus ingame, but I usually don't run it. I don't think Teamspeak is the issue, but the fact it still works points to a problem with MWO. Lots of people seem to use the same button for teamspeak and ingame voip. My issue with them is it often sounds like an echo when they talk, but I don't think it causes issues in the game.
What I have done so far is when the VOIP quits working I restart the client. I think I will try the other workaround since it would work even in a match (at least if I do it fast and in a relatively safe place).

I am pretty sure it already is required. I know when I run MWO I get prompted to allow it elevated privileges every time (in Windows 8.1) and it won't work otherwise.

I was already running the Patcher in Admin mode so I set the main .exe to run in Admin mode, this also didn't have any affect.
I also tried resetting config to default and re-assigning everything.
On my system PTT just spontaneously "works" in maybe 1 out of a 100 matches.
Thanks for the suggestions, you never know what might be "the fix". It is good to hear that I'm not the only one having this problem

That alone generally indicates the Launcher/shortcut is not set with admin privileges, a MWO attribrute.xml/ cfg file is set read-only, or the file is corrupted.

Admin privileges set, attributes and cfgs are writable. PTT is the only thing that refuses to work on launch. It says its set but its not.

I'm still running Win 7 Pro (and expect to continue doing so for the foreseeable future) so the issue is not necessarily related to Win 10. Have you tried the "disable VOIP/save/enable/save routine? That gets it working for my next match but is just too much of a PITA to consider it a good workaround.
I would think that this circumstance would be a big clue to someone at PGI but it seems that they are not interested in resolving this problem.

Thing is with MWO and TS, it's a combined Push-To-Talk and Voice-Activation. What I didn't realize was that even with my key working, the threshold for the VA was way low on my PC's default settings. It simply couldn't detect me speaking loud enough. At twice normal speech volume, talking really loud, I could see it trigger ingame when I held my PTT key.
So I fiddled around some with boosts (which caused other issues with my VOIP solutions for my communities) and it's still not as good as it was earlier.
Hope someone else can use my input and figure out more on their side, maybe it'll give me some ideas too. And ofc, it's posted to support.

But after i changed "record level" in game options to -14 dB it's suddenly starting to work again, and very good.

Like most ppl on this tread... I have the same problem... Identical actually...
And like most response... Disable enable save (in the audio setting page for voice), it worked for awhile then poof....
Now even my ts3 is acting up... The ts3 problem I think is related to a "fix" I tried for fixing the voip problem with MWO...
A real fix would be nice... I got brand new razer headsets just for MWO and kinda fustrating that after awhile of enjoying voice while playing, suddenly after a patch, it don't work anymore...

I have not tried yet after this last patch but, the one before that completely removed my push to talk ability.

PGI in their infinite wisdom left the "Voice Activation" option activated in their TS3 SDK. I was pushing PTT and expecting something to happen and nothing did.. But nothing actually happens until you push PTT AND speak. Stupid of them as voice activation is redundant if you are using PTT, but that's PGI for you.

Unfortunately some of the issue persists much deeper than just needing to talk with the button held. For some of us it was working sporadically if you did the VOIP Shuffle but that seems to have stopped working recently. PGI did finally realize the redundant setting and intends to change the variable(I am not sure if they have attempted to yet[I actually did not mind the redundancy of PTT coupled with voice activation{when it was working for me}]).

That would be the most logical explanation at least.
