Looks Like It's Time For Me To Punch Out. Oh-Seven, Folks.

Methinks you're looking way too deeply into this tier stuff, over sensitive to epeen, or needing attention....because there is no way this is a real issue.
Most forumites here are adults. If we catch each other using tier as a means to belittle someone or win an argument, we then know who the immature, idiotic kids are.
If you find yourself overly sensitive to whatever your tier is, then look at your priorities. This is a computer game. Unless you're a comp player, make money off this game, or a dev, why on earth would you take anything related to this game and your performance in it as seriously as you are coming off in this thread?
Really man, who cares? You seem like a decent dude, post some good stuff, so just keep doing you. Ignore stupid people, as the rest of us should, and move on with life.

I disagree. What being low-tier is going to do is decrease other's tolerance for stupid ideas.
And no, it does nothing for your relevancy. While I can generally be sure a T2/T1 player has a grasp of at least the basic mechanics of the game, the guy that insists that LRMs are broken cause he keeps dying at T4/T5 to them....well, I end up with serious doubts. And that in turn acts as a modifier to how I tend to view other's perspectives of the game.
It's a helluva lot different at the top vs. the bottom, and the top understands the game better than the bottom.

Note that one of the specific exemptions to "not posting much anymore" in the OP is taking the time out of my workday to piss you off. Not giving that pleasure up for nuttin'
nope you you on the forums front and center to vilify and cajole. Non negotiable.

It has been that way around here long before Tiers were a thing and will be here long after all but the lowly new guys are left and all those who "knew better...just because" are long gone.

Well, I had thought I'd demonstrated enough of a grasp on the fundamentals that despite my fumble-fingered failures when it comes to aim - I spent all my gaming days with either a controller or a stick in my hand, the mouse just doesn't work - it was generally known-ish that I wasn't a goober. While I certainly wasn't going to be commenting in a meaningful manner on the nuances of a Major League match drop deck or such, I could chime in on things like, say, revised heat scale thought experiments, the pitiful state of the Flamer, or how awesome it'd be if Piranha skipped the timeline forward ten years without embarrassing myself.
(Tangent: that really would be freaking amazing. To Gehenna with your Succession Wars crap - gimme Operation Bulldog and FedComm Civil War. DU EET.
End Tangent)
Heh...unfortunately, guys like Wanderer have made it quite plain that no, no amount of (mostly) sensible post history or demonstrated sound and reasonable views are going to be a substitute for sufficient levels of Monster-guzzling 360-no-scoping 'Mech-dropping skillz. As this is the case...whelp, I shall have fun with one last party in here then switch to lurk mode since my input is no longer desired.
Ah well. We all knew it was coming. Just gotta remember - doesn't matter what tier you're in, you still can't beat me from the cockpit of an UrbanMech

Everyone in every tier needs to be heard and respected especially if this is such a small community. It's very easy for the self appointed top dogs to bully other posters and its pretty common place.
First time I have ever agreed with Mhut.....but this time he has got it spot on. We should exclude that type of snobbery.
