So you dont have to breach the armor before you take internal damage? Or take internal damage before you get a crit?

To be fair, RNGesus does not discriminate when it comes to overheat damage allocation. He's equal-opportunity in that he reserves the right to melt your face internals on any mech, at any time, for any reason, because of reasons.

Wow, never saw that before, only from ammo in head. Was in that match and wondered how you could melt a Black Knight so fast.

The Black Knight is a pretty good mech, actually. Better than I expected. It doesn't have the superquirks of the Thunderbolt, and it doesn't have Clan tech. But it'll still f*ck sh*t up. As far as I'm concerned, it spreads damage pretty well, it has more than enough hardpoints, good engine cap... it's a fairly good mech.

Just don't kill yourself and you'll be alright.

It is a cool mech to run, just remember to not try and hide behind stuff before firing, due to the low hardpoints.

I like it, i just cant get past how quickly it gets cored, even with 90ct armour..

I run mine now with max sized XL, because you die from a CT more than you do from a side torso destruction.

Your pilot died of heatstroke dude. That's why the ones in lore just wore a cooling vest instead of the full outfit we wear in MWO. Or maybe that was just an excuse for geeky artists to draw famous pilots without clothes.
