My alpha strike has to wait until Friday, but it'll have the impact of an Overlord crashing!

Good for us though! Go Harebrained Schemes go! I want to see us CRUSH those goals that they won't know what to do with all the money!
As I had suggested long ago, if PGI had made an "Aerotech" game (in the BattleTech universe), instead of Transverse, they might have gotten the funding. PGI sometimes forgets that their core audience and backers are long time BattleTech fans.

This is true, but I still wonder if the effort would still have been hampered by the bad publicity and mishandling of MW:O. I think timing did a bit of a doozy on them too with Star Citizen still generating a lot of backing and the fact both are/were space sims.

Will have to cogitate. Either way, glad to see the BattleTech community kicking Kickstarter's ass on this one. Couldn't Alpha Strike what with being at work, but I imagine they'll forgive me if they get nigh three hundred bucks out of me. Or a thousand, if I decide I don't need anything else for the next forever.

I also read that as a dig at PGI, personally, or at least it's how I see things!

Also, hope that blowing past the funding goals means adding Co-op and a larger mech roster that isn't constrained by what art is already available from Alex Iglesias.

I do not interpret that statement as a "dig" against PGI, since I do not feel like I have been "burned" by PGI. PGI has delivered, or is in the process of delivering what they had promised (although they seriously underestimated the amount of time it would take).

I think so, too. While there is certainly a lot to criticize with MWO and PGI, they *are* delivering a game that not only is fun but that also makes me feel like piloting a mech. I mean, folks, the very fact that you are here in this forum for this game means that no matter how disappointed you are, you still think that it's worth your time to play MWO - and in many cases, pay for it, be that for MC, premium time or Mechs.

Kind of what I wish MW:O would do, but that's my last comment on it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wishlist for funding past the 2.5 mil goal:
- Co-op even if only in the skirmish mode (with data tracking so we can do our own campaigns)
- More 'mechs than what's currently announced! All the 3025 TRO go!
Slightly pissed at the $30 shipping charge.....
But hey, it's only cash.
And someone went and posted 1 of the 2, 10K pledges...
Madness and well done to that man .
