This thread needs more attention. This is one of those quality of life things that we've been putting off for so long that people are just numb to it. I remember playing Counter-Strike in like 2001-2002 and it had a more functional chat system than MWO.

For a game to have such a **** chat system more than a decade later...

PGI pls. Chat overhaul would be greatly appreciated. The option to view faction/unit chat or private messages during matches would be incredible as well. Battlenet has been using /w (whispers) since I can remember, is it really that difficult to implement something similar for MWO?

/f = faction chat
/u = unit chat
/w = whisper or PM individual

Its 1 of those games, that you get excited for, you are soo pumped to bust loose on and you begin playing. As SOON as you get into a match, and expect futuristic type weapons, controls, graphics, and things we would only imagine in a dream, you try to type "hello I'm n-" "nrwe" "whats up with chat?" "I'm new nice to meet you" leaves a horrible first time impression on you. It was a nightmare for me.

The hole reason our chat box is still in the disrepair its in is directly the fault of the player community, for their lack of response and support in vocalizing their frustration with it. Now that I look at it, anytime there's ever been a big change it was the amount of response from the players bitching. Since we never ***** about the chat, PGI doesn't really give a ****.
