No. I considered looking into if I could swing it with my work schedule before, but quite honestly, after this thread? Pass.

So because of one thread that rubs you the wrong way makes you not want to compete?

There are ways to support charity that don't involve offering positive reinforcement to behavior I disapprove of.

Alright then, guess we'll see you in the next MRBC tourney then.

That's just from your point of view, others see it as humor (As I do), or just something to read up on.

And mine. I could be wrong, but if he really was joking then he should have explained what he meant when a lot of us took it the wrong way. "You guys need to lighten up" might be true, but it also doesn't excuse confusing speech.

I didn't even realize he was referencing a tourney in his OP. Could he be using an official tourney to whack-it about his tier? Sure.

You sure have become uppity since tiers came out. You need to chill out man because nobody actually cares.

It is possible that I may be reading a lot between the lines, but I think I am right when I say that, to me, it appears El Bandito is using some clever demagoguery to entice people to sign up for an event that is, at its core, a good thing. I like his post because he is taking a commonly negative force in the forums and using it for good. Well done, sir. I appreciate what you're trying to do.

You're overlooking one thing:

If he's being smug about it why would he add this to it? :
Him offering to put his money where is mouth is doesn't preclude him from being smug. I like El Bandito from what I can gather from his posting history on the forums over the last few years, but my original point about him being uppity still stands regardless of his good intentions by attempting to get people in this tournament with his tongue in cheek banter. As with most things there is a right way to do something and a wrong way to do something, and then there is the PGI way of doing things(which is just the wrong way with less communication).

I haven't been following a lot of"Days of our MWO-Lives" on the forums, but I think he's doing the converse of this. I think he's using the tier-discussion-bait as a way to entice people into the tourney. To that I say, thumbs up, as explained above.

My response to Scout applies to you as well. Not everyone caught onto what he was doing. If it was his intention to do something good by playing the fool so to speak he didn't do a very good job at it. End result being a lot of extra noise in this thread taking away from what could have been a good opportunity to advertise this event instead of making it about his ego.

Wow some people actually got upset by El Bandito's humorous opening post. Lol. They must be T5 scrubs who wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell against Bandito, or anyone else for that matter.

I get what you're saying, but this event has been advertised other ways, and he's trying to use a different tack. It's like those car commercials that don't show the car until the very end.

The whole point was to appear as troll-bait to get more clicks.

I shed no tiers....

but to the OP I say this; It's not how you win or lose, it's how you place the blame

I didn't bother. At best, I'll just qualify for 20 games (currently 19 qualifying) for the BK grinding I've been doing.

I didn't buy the pack, so it's not like I'll gain the measly 100MC (currently 95MC) that I would get.
