Looks excellent, and I'm both surprised and glad that HG hasn't tried to shut this down, as they are almost more famous for their legal action on "likeness" than they are for bringing us Robotech itself.

My only concern is that, as others have already mentioned, the weapons slots appear (with exception to the missile hardpoint) to be low slung, which will limit the viable tactics for this chassis.

Though I wont be piloting one of these mechs myself anytime in the near future (waiting for them to be available for C-Bills), I look forward to meeting these mechs on the battlefield with my BLR1G(P) ... ^_^

reason why is HG recently lost a lot of lawsuits for their Robotech Copyright. they were even being {Richard Cameron} to the guys who MADE Macross, so it's good on a lot of levels that happened.

and i'm buying the Archer the moment it shows up.

Does anyone else think it looks a little too much like the Hellbringer?

No, Clanner: the HELLBRINGER looks too much like the WARHAMMER.

Read sarna for production years of Loki and Warhammer
Compare Loki Prime to specs of Warhammer
And tell us where you went wrong...

or Archer! specially since they could double hero it like the Dragon, Jaime Wolf's and Morgan Kell's Archers! :D

also, you do know the actual Duncan Fisher plays this game right? :D

Archer is much more boring in builds, I'd take CRD over Archer any day =D

Do you mean George? I'm not sure if he is really playing. But he surely is an active member of the community. You may notice I have "Jr" in the name, implying that I'm the different character. But anyway, most of the time people fail to notice. Some even feel offended by it.

The thing is I registered the name before the closed beta, back then I thought it would be an account name, and I would be able to choose a pilot name when the game comes out (actually many people thought likewise).
I would have changed the name a very long time ago, soon after the game started, but unfortunately, there is still no way to do that...

I think the Marauder II is the only Unseen that will get my money, after the Marauder :3 Most of them just don't interest me... Will probably pick up the Black Widow in the future some time, though. On a 50% sale.

I'd go for the Rifleman if they made it have a 360 torso like the Urbie n.n

That shouldn't come as a surprise though, the hardpoints are exactly the same as the original model. I don't think it will be too much of a problem anyways, it's got plenty enough firepower to decimate an opponent in one shot.

The fact that the Hellbringer looks a lot like a Warhammer is the only reason I drive them.

The Warhammer is the grandfather of the Loki (Hellbringer).

The Clan engineers based the design of the Hellbringer off of the venerable Warhammer.

I don't necessarily feel like reading through 19 pages to find out if anyone asked this - so if we buy the Black Widow, we're getting two stock WHM-6R's?

No. You only get those when you buy the collectors package as is clearly listed in the store. No need to read trough 19 pages when all information is right there to see if you clicked the link in the first post.

No, if you buy the standard package with the BW add on (which I highly recommend as the collectors package doesn't give enough to justify the price despite the numbers showing its a good deal), then you get three standard variants from the standard package, and one Black Widow Warhammer.

Was going to purchase the mech pack, but I put it to 23 of my friends and the majority voted no.

Sorry.

See, this is why I prefer the Lord Vetinari variant of Democracy: One man, one vote. He's the man, so he's the only one with a vote. :)

Yeah, I just finished The Shepherd's Crown recently myself. I liked it, but it was easy to see (as was written in the afterword) that Terry was not really finished with it when he passed on. Parts of it definitely feel like mere drafts which he would have reworked probably several times before being satisfied with them if he'd only had the time. And I've recently decided I'm gonna read through the series from start to finish, beginning with The Colour of Magic.

Very nice designing. Looks good next to the ofther re-seen mechs.

Shure would be nice to play it in a diverse gaming environment with more than 3 cold maps and an actual choiche of which game mode your going to play..
