Would it bewise to use it, if it is functional? I don't think so! Showing everyone my position is a kind of...suicidal...

I guess that would depend on how bright it was :P They could make it so it overwhelms night vision if you're looking right at it. As cool as this would be, they'd never do it.

;) Morgan Kell for the win.
oh yes....do you know what will happen, when Crusader or Archer arrive on the battlefield?
They are LRM-Mechs.
Mimimi....LRm is OP..... (the one half, whining because of all the LRM showers coming down on them)
Mimimi....LRMs are inappropriate for CW (those who look only for quirks, weaponlocations and dropdeck)

or you will see Arches which Morgan Kell didn't pilot: those with a bunch of lasers or PPCs.
So, what do you have in mind when you call for Crusader or Archer?

My Archer will have LRM because its lore and I'm a Morgan Kell Fan

missiles in the legs - if you place them in the torso - mechs like the CRD-5M need some work
Some Crusaders may have JJs - all of them have missiles (there are 10 Crusaders variants till 3052)

the Archer - ....the Wolf Hero.....  - Hasehabenwill........although its clan tech - but ECM on a hero - we will never see that happen :(

So many unseen to be reseen in MWO, Happy that those come along but are they gonna be good ? Already many reseen Mechs been quite a disappointment so in all reserve I will wait to see general community opinion on the MAD and WHM.

if ur paying attention u'll notice they left out any decals.
So it wouldn't conflict with the upcoming decal system i'm assuming.

I haven't seen anything about decals in a LOOONG time. It's something that I am really hoping is put in the game. Have you seen anything to indicate that it is still going to make it in game??

I think they are working on it. There seems to be no reason why they can not make it into the game

I agree that they should be able to put it in. It's just been a long time since hearing anything at all about it. Hopefully the decals will make it in game soon. It would add a bit more immersion, which always helps!

Not really. 90% of the people who play this game never post and never will. So it's mostly the angry people who post a lot - and they tend to be very negative.

I would not consider them that negative, considering PGI's overall track record. Most of them are fairly polite with a few that go to far. Most of it comes from the emotional investment that many of us have in this game. I would like this game to succeed, I would also like a fair amount of reason as well as a solid plan going forward. The only issue is while PGI is taking suggestions from a select few who are publishing shows on youtube and ignoring the rest of us. Which is why PSR is such a mess, and the new game balance has stirred such a ruckus. Its kind of like the old software paradigm garbage in garbage out. I would wager if they took off their blinders and started to really engage the forum community we would get a different result.

Wait till this platform moves to steam and then find out how toxic all this really gets.

They mentioned it in a town hall recently... They said it was like, 75% done, but admitted it's been 75% done for a while now, that they got sidetracked into other, more pressing concerns. It is still going to happen. I can't remember if they said it was likely to be in by end of year, it might be spring.... I was too busy looking forward to the bit whrre they talked about the Marauder to care much about decals :P

Did they mention anything about the "Dawnstealer Exclusive Hatchetman?"

Every Battlemech had functioning lights in MechWarrior 4, and yes it was suicidal to turn them on when playing multiplayer. However, it was never as realistically dark in MW4 as it can get in MWO... but I guess that's why we have night vision in the distant future?

It would have been neat to see that in the options for private matches though... Locking out night and heat vision so that people either have to turn their lights on or fire blind. I bet that would have made for some interesting/intense matches. Oh well, I'll just have to fondly remember MW4 and enjoy those experiences. ;)
I remember the black out drops in Mw4 it was so dark you couldn't see anything without the flood lights.

But it´s a Warhammer so take my money

The Warhammer could be my very first purchase in MWO. Anything that I should know or look out for in my first purchase?

I hope to see all of the Unseens soon :D but after MAD and WHM, Lights and Meds might be next before more Heavies like Rifleman, Archer, Crusader and Longbow arrive.

If its the Warhammer you're after, a truly Iconic mech, purchase in time to get the early adapter awards, ie before 31st Oct.

Also Standard pack for $20 plus Hero = $35 and you get 4 diff mechs plus a mech with 30%bonus, versus Collector pack for $40 = 3 different mechs one with 30% bonus & a duplicate (30 days more premium time though)

Looks excellent, and I'm both surprised and glad that HG hasn't tried to shut this down, as they are almost more famous for their legal action on "likeness" than they are for bringing us Robotech itself.

My only concern is that, as others have already mentioned, the weapons slots appear (with exception to the missile hardpoint) to be low slung, which will limit the viable tactics for this chassis.

Though I wont be piloting one of these mechs myself anytime in the near future (waiting for them to be available for C-Bills), I look forward to meeting these mechs on the battlefield with my BLR1G(P) ... ^_^
