Those images, right there, are why there needs to be an "eject sequence" and then let you run around as a person. It would really put these things in scale.

After viewing the sneak peek video, I am surprise how high the SL jumps, I think even higher than panthers.
Equally surprise that not a single PPC was fired, maybe everyone is running stock for the video?

I hope they rotate the mechs in Academy, so I can marvel at them from time to time.

Why?

I feel that the only Jumping variant shouldn't get the highest amount of E hardpoints of all variants (tied with 2A just with jumpjets)
Here's the thing, i'll be using the 3F, most definitely, but it just rubs me the wrong way.

I think it's an error or just a test build. It will most likely have 4, which is fair.

I doubt a PPC could fit the center torso. I can see builds with two PPC/ER PPCs. Like the Wolf and BK, I'll probably run nothing but ER/LL/LPL builds.

The Blood Pact one was showcased with a PPC in each side torso on the MWO Instagram.

Medium mechs (Class IV, 40-60 tons technically) seem to have the best jump jets. Same thrust as the 60-80 tonners, but at 0.5 tons each. Lights have half the thrust for the same 0.5 ton weight per jet.

I'm not sure if this was done to keep lights from being able to jump to space, but it means mechs like the Shadow Cat and now that one Crab variant can really fly.

I think the Crab is going to fit in well with other 50 ton mechs especially given its low height. From the demo match they looked quite tanky, but not so much agile.
I liked the map update for Caustic Valley even more. The overpowering green mist seems to have lifted, Nascar should be history and we will get more LRM cover. The blue flames reminded me of a spilled flaming Margarita. The night settings will be very atmospheric...

A lot of them weren't particularly agile because they were using stock engines. I imagine chucking an XL 325 or even 350 would fix that really quick ;) Even a standard engine bigger than 250 should make them sail around like a lot of other fast mediums. In lore this was the ultimate guerrilla fighter/skirmisher, and it seems like that's exactly what it'll do.

It's a guess, but I think it's possible that PGI added removable hand actuators to the Crab.

The original art in the TRO shows the Crab with a left hand actuator (for some bizarre reason not supported by the text), and the concept art would seem to mimic this by making the left claw with fingers. We already know PGI includes removable actuators on Clan Omnis... it seems reasonable to assume the Crab is the first IS Mech and first BattleMech with this option.

Actually, all Crabs (despite what someone changed Sarna to say) has Hand Actuators. The claws are considered hands. Some older artwork of the Crab shows an actual hand on one arm, but all newer ones (as far as I know) show pincers. My TRO shows that all Crabs (and King Crabs) have hand actuators. (It's a mech I play often in TT, when I play TT.)

Looks like a great mech.
The level looks different and honestly you have not been showing it off well so I will assume it is rather unchanged.
The video... well a few things. You need better crossfire or something to run at your resolution, The screen tearing was powerful. next. Well played but jumping turns off your heatsinks.
