Now please, proceed with the negativity.

like mechs fighting under water at a reduced speed? I'd +1 that if and only if busting through the ST or CT in any mech flooded it out and killed it.

That's...actually a pretty creative idea.

Add low gravity, reduced speed, reduced weapon ranges...could be hella fun to zip through the ocean crapping ac/20's onto people's heads.

I'd so love to play on an underwater map.

Considering that all our weapons would either not work or do nothing when they hit, I'd say we'd be better off with an archipelago map with some dry ground and lots of water, including deep enough to cover an Atlas.

would suport only if weapon ranges are cut into half and speed is reduced, lets say by 1/3. That way intense brawling would be back

shhhhh this is a sci fi game. Dont search for deep realism. Cut gun rnge into half. That should be realistic enough

actually, lasers would work, though with reduced range and effectiveness, and in Battletech, you could modify mechs to carry torpedoes in place of missiles.

But yes, your ballistics and ppcs would have to stay at home. Gosh, go figure...warfare sometimes happens in environments where not everything is ideal.

Lasers would loose range end effectivity too. so 50% weapon range to all weapons. srms rnge might get reduced by only 1/3. as its already only 300 ish max without quirks and with the module

I guess my SRM torpedo catapult would be screwed if it showed up on Alpine, eh?

But at least with a water map, it'd be appropriate to BOAT weapons... amirite?

no reason SRMS and LRMS would lose range...if you switched them for torpedoes. And they already move about torpedo slow.
Lasers would be effected, but still viable.

Of course, if one wanted to make it real interesting, one would have peaks and such that just out of the water, where weapons would work.... but we know most people would just lemming to those spots and peektart the whole match (maybe if they were dynamic with random tides.......)

Anyhow.

Not really the point.

I just want to see how much negativity I can collect here.

I recently had the epiphany that I could make a post about liking pizza, and the Internet community would use it as a launchpad as to why they hate pizza. Because nothing positive is allowed to stand on the internet.

Some deep water to hide in would be really nice, it's kinda weird how the water on all existing maps is so shallow.

I don't know if it's the issue of anything being positive being shot down...

My pair of rose-colored glasses was broken in regards to the game. So while I do really try to see things the way I used to, and I really try to love it like I used to, I see glimpses of reality for what things really are. *shrug*

So if people have a different or polar opposite opinion, don't take offense or think people are out to get you. Seeing things from different perspectives isn't a bad thing, or shouldn't be if you're interacting with many other people. So if you would prefer to see things in a certain way, that's up to you. But telling everyone "Hey, this is how I'm seeing things" and others say "Not from my perspective" you shouldn't take it in a negative way just because they don't have the same pair of glasses you do.

Besides, using the pizza analogy, I love pepperoni, mushroom and green peppers and double cheese from Domino's. Because that is the best pizza in the world for me. I shouldn't assume that everyone else wants the same pizza I do, or prefers it the same way.

I'm a fan of chicago style deep dish with pepperoni, mushrooms and black olives, myself. Or good old Straw Hat sourdough crust pizza.... but if you aren't from the east bay area you probably never heard about it.

Of course I can eat anything from Domino's to CiCis to Papa Johns to Pizzeria Uno to a slice on the street in NYC. But short of starvation, I draw the line at Little Caesars. I'd rather buy frozen at that point.

But I'd rather focus on the pizza I do like than rant about not liking the pizza you like. Unless you were making a point to force your opinion that your choice of pizza was the only right choice, in which case I may feel the need to argue.

The real question... which type of Pizza is Meta?
