Personally, I would like to see the Archer next. Here is a study about the variants:

No redundancy, you are just not using enough inflation. :P

OK, let's do this:

ARC-2R

LA 1E +1E
LT 1M
CT 2E
RT 1M
RA 1E +1E

ARC-EW

LA 1M
LT 1M +1M
CT 1M (+1M?)
RT 1M +1M
RA 1M

ARC-5S

LA 1E, 1M
LT 2M
CT 2E
RT 1M
RA 1E, 1M

ARC-2S

LA 1E
LT 2M
CT 2E
RT 2M
RA 1E

ARC-2K

LA 1E +1E
LT 1M +1M
CT
RT 1M +1M
RA 1E +1E

ARC-5R

LA 1E +2E
LT 1M
CT
RT 1M
RA 1E +2E

ARC-4M

LA 1E
LT 1M +1M
CT 2E
RT 1M +1M
RA 1E

ARC-2W

LA 1E
LT 2M +1M
CT
RT 2M +1M
RA 1E

ARC-2Rb (I would keep this variant out of the game, but could be made different by unusual quirks)

LA 1E +1E
LT 1M
CT 1E
RT 1M
RA 1E +1E

And... ARC-PHN "Phantom", Morgan Kell's hero mech.

LA 1E
LT 2M + ECM
CT 1E
RT 2M
RA 1E

Sure, the Archer looks much better than the Catapult, with 2 more hardpoints, but it doesn't have jump jets and could have worst hitboxes.

After the Archer? One more standalone pack with Rifleman or Crusader (both are cool). The remaining heavy Unseen would fit nicely in a Resistance II pack (with Wasp, Phoenix Hawk and Longbow).

BTW, the dream of having the Macross Unseen back has come true. This is a major achievement for PGI and the Battletech IP.

or maybe, we can chew gum and walk at the same time? Talking about one thing does not require ignoring others.

But by all means, I'm sure your complaining is doing LOTS to help fix the balance issues. Care to link us to all your balance idea threads?

Just in case you didn't think it through, Cheer-leading is every bit as effective as complaining in fixing balance issues.

Just asking, but is "bruh" your new favorite word? I've seen it an awful lot lately. Doesn't suit you.

Those SRM racks in legs could be tricky.

Moved to side torsos, like every other mech with leg weapons.

Interesting.

Could you tell me such MWO example of weapons moved from legs to side torsos?

Cicada 3C is the one that comes to mind.

I thought there were more but I can't think of any more names ATM.

Thanks. I guess it would be doable.

Well, since you want it all in one spot, I'm just going to drop this old theory-crafting post here. So far They took the Marauder variants I suggested (and I wasn't far off on hardpoints, either); and they almost completely took my suggestion on the Warhammer, too (one variant off, but still some good choices in there). I wonder what future "Classics" will look like and what the variant/hardpoint selections will be.

I personally really look forward to the Wasp, Stinger, Valkyrie, Phoenix Hawk, and Crusader . . . especially with the art style they've been applying to these Classics. They could be awesome performers and incredibly gorgeous.

So, after a package theory-crafting, HERE, I figured I'd try to do another dive into creative theory-crafting and look at what variants we'd get and what their hardpoints could look like in MWO. For stock loadouts, one can easily find them at Sarna.net. I tried to stick to variants that would have the potential to provide flavor and variety, once assigned hardpoints. I know it's not perfect, but that's pretty much impossible to achieve. Everyone will have their own opinions on what "perfect hardpoints" for the variants would be. However, constructive feedback is always appreciated.

Going in order of tonnage:

WASP (20 tons)
Spoiler

STINGER (20 tons)
Spoiler

VALKYRIE (30 tons)
Spoiler

PHOENIX HAWK (45 tons)
Spoiler

RIFLEMAN (60 tons)
Spoiler

CRUSADER (65 tons)
Spoiler

ARCHER (70 tons)
Spoiler

WARHAMMER (70 tons)
Spoiler

MARAUDER (75 tons)
Spoiler

LONGBOW (85 tons)
Spoiler

EDIT: Added the tonnage of the chassis for those who are unaware.

Scout Derek if you are reading this shouldn't this be stickied?

On topic I think Wasp and Stinger would be great additions mostly because I like lights also we need more in that tonnage range personally.

I'd like them to offer a "make your own" pack with the remaining unseen.

Example: All unseen are available to choose. I select the Wasp, Phoenix Hawk, Archer & Longbow.

Been a while since we've had a mech we had to open some missile doors for (RIP cool CN9). Would be a nice addition.

Shimmeringsword's work is solid. I'd be happy to see his takes on both the Archer and Rifleman put into the game.

Since the Archer is the most recent unseen, all of the unseen have been heavies. I wonder if they're worried about value? Generally prices are based off tonnage, releasing all heavies makes it easier to justify the tonnage difference.

True, but I'd pay for a Phoenix Hawk, Stinger and Wasp... The weight classes I frequent....

They could just release the Wasp and Stinger as a combo pack then!
