Ok imo MWO in 2015 have much more polished mech textures, better rocket flight path but this is only my opinion.

I personally waited months after the CB opening, just so I could buy a good rig to play MWO.

Some people have massive fps drops since patch/hotfix. Also IIRC there was no stalkers in 2012 - only atlas and awesome.
I love the gameplay in that clip... slow, no instagib, every single medium laser counts. You could tank some dmg in a medium mech.... god dammit! Now I have to go and play a game where poking around a corner for 1 sec will end with cored ct or at least destroyed st.

And no DHS.
You couldn't even fire 4 MLs together, or at least not 3 times in a row. And those were the backup weapons. Just look at the hunchies in the vid, they struggle with some ML and 2x LRM10.
Yeah, heat management was a thing back then and TTK was really long and good. It was hard to kill an Atlas. That was an achievement - and if two or three Atlas come around a corner you were more or less screwed.
everything was better in the past, even the future....

the other DHS and the increased heat threshold together with the option of ES increased the damage output exponential.

They downgraded the graphics (especially the extremely CPU intensive physics engine) a lot to expand their potential customer base to more casual players who didn't have an i5 and a GTX670. Personally I don't see why I couldn't have the good graphics pack while the people who didn't blow a grand or more on a rig get what we ended up with but whatever.
