I guess though, as was posted previously, it is the internet and tough guy syndrome should be expected.........less than 1% of people that behave as you do behind a keyboard would do so in person, that's where the disconnect comes in. See, I try to be polite on here and in person, I don't see the need to become Mr. Hyde because I have a screen to hide behind.

And yeah you are right, I'm very nice in person. I'm also very nice on the forums most of the time, but some people just rub me the wrong way on here, you being one of them. I don't care for your self-righteous attitude.

By the way, would you have even engaged in this conversation if this was in person? I doubt it. Pot calling the kettle black.

Calling someone stupid is tough guy behaviour?? Really??

If someone approached me in real life and told me crayons taste good and I should try eating some, I would most definitely tell them that is stupid. I don't think it takes a tough guy to do that

Yeah, calling someone stupid, especially someone you don't know, is not something you'd do in person, unless you enjoy loose teeth anyway. Sure, you'd get away with doing it sometimes, maybe even most of the time, but there are people that will knock you on your tail when you say something like that to them. That's the difference between the internet and real life.

I sincerely doubt you'd walk up to anyone and call them anything in real life.

Normal people don't hit each other when they have a verbal disagreement. I don't walk around randomly calling people stupid just as I don't randomly say people opinions on gameplay balance in MWO are stupid. Most people in real life don't walk up to me and tell me something stupid for no reason, therefore I have no need to tell them their idea or opinion is stupid. If someone did approach me and tell me something stupid, I would certainly tell them that I think what they are saying is stupid. If standing up for what I believe in makes me a "tough guy", so be it, your words not mine.

For the record, I still have all my teeth and I've called multiple people stupid in my lifetime. Thanks for explaining the difference between the internet and real life for me though.

And there is a huge difference between saying that something someone said is stupid and calling that individual themselves stupid............in your post you said you would tell them THEY were stupid, not that you would tell them you thought what they SAID was stupid. See the difference? Number one can, and on some occasions, will, lead to punches being thrown, number two is just a disagreement. Words mean things.

So, simply said, an opinion is a judgement, viewpoint, or statement about matters commonly considered to be subjective.

Subjective being the operable word here; a central philosophical concept... based on some categorical references, one of them being truth; however, it is that which has been variously defined by sources.

Now, on the matter of the subject at hand; I, subjectively, am overly bias on balance, and, too, not having all the facts, refrain from commenting on what is or is not, game-wise, a balance issue.

I can only express my experience.

I am having difficulty enjoying the game as an assault pilot because of how much faster the pace of the game has progressed (speed of most Mechs), and the fire power boasted by lighter Mechs, coupled with their agility, the terrain affecting my aim when I move, and other factors entirely my own, that I may be putting down the game for a while.

You see, when I first started playing, there were one or two fast lights, and while they could in the right hands be dangerous, they were not so plentiful; now, it is not just the lights that are dangerous in this category of nimbleness, firepower, and such, but has dripped into the mediums, and heavies, that it has become... Call-of Mech Online.

I will not play most other Mechs, maybe slow Heavies, because of age and reflex issues, eyes, and such, that Call-Of-Mech Online (used to play that), as it plays now for me, is too much work and strain on me physically.

This, in my opinion, places me in two categories; one, a depleting cash whale, and two, casual/competitive type that wishes he could be a little better but refuses to use certain tools to get there (honor or such - if they can do it, so I can I, mentality).

Note; afterthought, tools, as in macro mouse and key board, and things I feel I shouldn't need (I can't remember the word for this, oh, yes, denial); not that there is anything wrong with these tools; lazy to implement comes to mind as well.

So, when it pleases me, I'll hop on with my assault and give it my best, but am often self ridiculed in chat (self, being me, myself, ridiculing myself).

Good luck with the balance issue.
