So why make it so hard to earn a lot of c-billls?
This way people just play the mechs they have and don't bother getting a hero for example as they don't have the c-bills to buy the other two to elite them.
Is PGI actually having people spend more MC by reducing the c-bills or not?
I don't know. They have the stats.
It will also generate more people to play the game instead of hearing how hard it is to earn c-bills.

I don't think its hard to earn CBILLS. What are you averaging per match?

Also, buy our robots. Lots of them. That's where the money is made.

Hmmmmm. I guess it would take a while to save 20 mil.
Yes. In the start of the game, I would buy more mechs, hence more mechbays, and also more hero mechs, hence would buy a lot of mc. But now I feel like it takes too long. I feel more hesitant to buy a mech and more hesitant to buy mc.

The mech packs are pretty decent as they stand, especially since they began throwing in so many extras, making them a reasonably good deal (with payment for upgrades to vanity packs adding a bit of a premium on top).

In no way is this true. In fact it would make it MORE valuable b/c the 50% bonus would actually grant you a larger amount of cbills than currently.
Would it tempt the guys that have been playing since beta and have 200 mechs? Maybe, Maybe not.
Would it tempt the new plays? It's virtually guaranteed.
I know it would tempt me....but right now it's not worth 15 dollars a month for an extra 40-50k a match. That's just insulting.

If the boosts from Premium and Heroes were much higher I might be able to understand that choice between grinding or paying. Part of the problem is that in MWO, you still have to grind even if you do pay.

Those bonuses are all % based. Higher earnings lead to higher bonuses.
More, increasing the bonuses (say, 100% from PT and 50% from Hero mechs) would also make them more attractive, again scaling with base pay levels.

But ya the business model of selling mass amount of mechs is wearing thin to say the least. Hopefully other premium content will be added as well some for c-bills content.

Since 2012 I have said that inorder to make more money they need to grow the player base. How does one grow that base? Create more viable playable content IE: maps, a CW that is not just a bunch of bottlenecks and meaningless mode. I honestly think the survival of this game depends on opening at the minimal the mapping aspect.

1) You don't have enough c-bills for mech and don't like grinding c-bills to death -> you go spend your real money on individual mechs, mech packs, mastery packs and so and so forth. Beats measly 300 mc for a mechbay any time of the day.
2) You want to play new and potentially unbalanced mechs and kick ass while they are still OP? You preorder with real money and have your fun while it lasts. A gamble just like in any other F2P game.
Meager c-bill earnings and rapacious module costs fit in quite nicely.

I suspect something like this too... especially since they need to give out a fair amount of content (for pgi, that's mechs) for players to have enough diversity to keep things fresh. One or two starter mechs with Paulconomy in effect... not going to keep players around for very long imo.
