Just a few screencaps from the latest devlog showing some early previews of the Wolfhound and Jenner IIC (though it took me a moment to recognise it!).

Only posted because I really, really like the look of the Wolfhound. Has a real BattleTech vibe going for it. Jenner IIC is definitely going to be different to the regular Jenner but obviously it's still very early in production so judge accordingly. :D

Hope PGI doesn't mind me posting them, but I suppose they're public anyhow. Also sorry for the terrible image quality. :P

Lol, I post a ***** post about not having a sneak peak 15 minutes before you share this. I am greatly shamed. Not enough to actually edit it, but somewhat.

Also are we sure that's not the panther? They look... basically the same.

I love how skinny the Wolfhounds waste is. Anorexic for sure.

Might make for interesting hitboxes...

Looks like the torso hardpoints are actually about chest heigh which is kind of cool.

Yeah my bad, I didn't see your post until after I posted this.

They do look pretty similar. But then again, they did in the original artworks as well.

Wolfhound looks like Torso of Doom.... and does the Jenner IIC kind remind anyone else of the Raijin?

So, just curious if anyone will name their Jenner II.... "Caitlin"?

I think they look considerably different.

Wolfhound looks worse and more stiff.....with a huge Shockwave CT, and squared limbs and a much smaller looking head.

speaking as an artist...just not seeing it, unless you mean semi spindly humanoid with a gun arm. Then yeah, totally see it.

Does this mean...
Heavy Metal: Shockwave
Wolfhound: Baby Shockwave?

Adorable.

Did the artist eat a 10 strip before he painted those?

Well, now that I have finally seen the Wolfhound... Yuk. :(

It's not terrible I suppose, just underwhelming. I'd like to see it in game with proper textures added before making a final decision on looks (it made a big difference for the Black Knight), but overall...ehhh.

It does seem to have Raven legs. Maybe streak boat Jenner's might not be as brutal as first thought...maybe.

ugh, dat legohound... the panther looks so nice, with curved shapes and all and the wolfhound looks like it's lowres brother from an older mechwarrior game... could be the early stage and I'll wait for the final textured model but this somehow looks... meh.

the wolfhound was DESIGNED to be an anti-panther mech. And I think I'm going to love mine.

I will maybe call him "Wolfy" or "Blade Wolf".

I was surprised how boxy it is. 627 called it the Legohound, which I feel is very accurate.

People were going to be disappointed no matter what though. Some people wanted a Robo-Hound with ears and fangs and whiskers and a big wet nose, and other people wanted something closer to the boxy old school designs.

I was tempted to buy the Wolfhound as part of a quest to collect all the Pokemechs from the Battletech cartoons, for nostalgia, but the MWO Wolfhound is so far removed from the cartoon Wolfhound that I'm glad I didn't buy it. No nostalgia for me.

I'm not upset or anything, I just don't like it very much. It's ok, given what they had to work with.

Jenner IIC looks great tho.
