Scale is good. Despite my naysaying, I have high hopes for this light. The Panther was the star of Resistance 1.

My Zeus would like to converse with your Panther about that. As would my Enforcer! =P
(Even if my Enforcer did get given a Peyton Manning watermelon head and Panthers are my second favorite Light....after Urbanmechs)

Man... Originaly this was the only mech I was looking forward to in this package. Gotta admit I'm disapointed in how it turned out though. I'm starting to get the feeling that the 3D modelers is having a hard time designing light mechs, probably because they have less ''mass'' to work with. Either that or they are designed last and getting rushed.
Another thing that annoys me is the fact that they didn't stick with the idea of giving the wolfhound an entirly white coloured head like in the concept art.

I do know for a fact that you can do better though. Just look at the crab, it's awesome. Absolutely brilliant.
So please, pull the wolfhound back into the vault and give it some more time. I absolutely love this mech and the way it is going to look matters alot to me. Pretty please!

You can change the color pattern.

I personally like the look and think it is very close. not as rounded as in some places but that is difficult on computers if over used. I am most interested in the money variant being great. Great means fun to play. Next I like how the 2c highlander looks. I wish it did not have the blinders like the IS one as it is annoying but that is how they should look. Again my comment is fun centric. If it is fun and makes me c bills for my money I am happy.

Fun is all I care about.

I didn't notice it at first but, no side view on this mech, just like the shadow hawk.

Aside from this the size looks good.

Liked the artwork. Head wasn't as good as the WLF-1 (with a snout, cockpit with ears) and I'm not talking about the WLF-1 remake with a doorstop of a head.

This actual model is... just uninspiring. Very little of the Wolfhound seems to have been translated. There is nothing sleek or mean about it, its actually quite harsh to look at.

I dunno, I like how the Wolfhound is very...Cheap looking, it makes sense, for a 'mech to kill other light 'mech it wouldn't need to look advanced, all it would require was armor, speed and of course the weapon payload. No fancy electronics or whatevers, just the barebones.

The Wolfhound looks sooooo poor next to the Panther,Firestarter and Arctic :(
I guess the 3D artists where allready busy with the IIC´s and Marauder when they had to rush out this guy.

I just don't see what the fuss is about. It looks fine to me, and especially lean and mean in side profile. The first countdown image was unflattering because it really showcased those huge and essentially cubical shoulders.

It's fundamentally cool though that people care so much about how the machines are implemented.

Like the scale. Its around the same height as the FS and Cheetah but a BIT slimmer. Equals to less of a target. It also seems set to be a skirmisher/brawler. Perfect compliment to the Panther for example, since that one is a sniper/harasser

It has a window on both sides too :P Just behind the canines on the dog skull in the ® version, there is a little octagonal window. It can be more easily seen on the base version, especially in the Orthos rendering.

Now that I have seen some more of it, I can positively say I like the looks.
I don't get the negativity: size is good, looks are subjective, hitboxes and quirks are not yet known, the basic design principles of the mech (no JJ, all energy weapons) are not PGI's 'fault'.

Sure you could complain about is the choice itself (I would have liked a Spector instead of the Wolfhound, an Exterminator instead of the Black Knight, a Spartan instead of a Mauler), but that boat sailed long ago.

For anyone who's complaining about the Wolfhound looking too much like the Panther, remember that the stock canon Wolfhound was designed to counter the stock canon Panther directly.

And it did a damn good job of it too.

I am looking forward to testing its mettle against everything MWO has to offer.

May we please have a higher resolution of the "WOLFHOUND ORTHOGRAPHIC VIEW" graphic? I would like to use it as a wallpaper and stretch it across two monitors at 1080p.

I like the switches on top of the dashboard. Specially the two with the covers on the left side. They look important.
