Mine would have been back in closed beta and either something to do with the yellow screen bug, or possibly "How the f does a 25 ton Commando tackle a 100 ton atlas?"

I loved the tackle function, just genuinely wanted to know how they explained the fact that I could literally tackle any mech on the field.

That was my first and only. For a while it was popular to say that "your tier will always go up if you play at 50/50 win loss." All my thread really says is that there is not enough information to conclude that winning at a 50/50 rate ensures your tier will go up.

I thought my first thread would raise more eyebrows than it did (the expectation of everyone making a thread, I suppose). In the end no one replied but at least one person used my ideas in another thread, and so I know some people read it and understood. I like to think that I made a useful thread which has expanded our knowledge on this forum. Maybe someone learned something from reading it.

I don't know, but I hope so.

I may make more threads like it in the future if I think an idea is interesting enough from an intellectual standpoint to warrant announcement.

I can't find mine either, but I went by ShadowVFX back then (same account, but I had PGI change my name ~1 year back), so who knows how I should actually search for it.

I can guess that my first post would've been in the fall of 2011 and was probably trying to tell PGI/IGP how great MPBT 3025 was "back in the day" and that I wanted them to make this game like that. Now that we've got CW, I must say I'm disappointed. Not in the game as a whole, but very much so in CW. I wish they just did what MPBT 3025 did. Oh well...

My first Thread. Week after open Beta started we had a LAN party and I was reporting on it. I joined in early September with one of the "mistake email" beta keys, but bought a Founders pack 2 days later after test driving the game and liking what I saw.

Sad part is, my ISP changed since then, and I theoretically have faster internet now. However with LAN play ONLY with MWO we get Ping spikes up to 1000 now. This doesn't happen with ANY other game.


PS - I had to use Google to find my oldest post. Narrowing by the year and website, searching by my handle.

Was asking about using multiple displays (I didn't want to buy another couple monitors then find out it wouldn't work) and I was confused about the armor allocation between front and rear. December, 2012.

I was trying to find my original post about random spawn/capture points..... I believe the idea is still valid to this day.

Go to google. In the search box, type:

and in the Search Tools at the top of the page, pick a custom date range (such as Nov 1 2012 - Feb 28 2013)

My God, I remember that! It actually worked really well because people would come up on me thinking I was LRM boat and I had lasers and SRM for them. This was pre-ecm too I believe....
