Daisy Planter MN-DSI / (Sewer Rat)

Spoiler

Cheaper to produce and better armored then its Clan Predecessor , the Innersphere Daisy planter also boast better survivability using a standard 210 fusion engine rather then an XL 240. However in the innersphere's attempted conversion, they were forced to increase to overall tonnage by 8.5% and drop a SRM 6 launcher from the final design. Heat problems also arose from the decision to upgrade the models standard weaponry to experimental ER technology

There's a few problems with your mech. Not sure if you mean it uses Clan tech or not (I can only assume it does not because plugging it into Skunkwerks doesn't show problems with much, and you can't have clan tech on IS mechs for this contest) but your PPC tonnage is one ton off, IS ER PPC's are 7 tons, and on top of that you have over 9 tons left (using the correct PPC tonnage) unused and with current load out and 13 crits unused.

Seems like your mech isn't quite finished?

Technically, its possible though.
Also, the Wolf's Dragoons are producing clantech in 3058.
Including Dire Wolves.
Not to mention all the salvage from the initial invasion.
Which would be fairly present in high-prestige units like the Swords of Lights, Genyosha, etc.

Oh, no no, you misunderstand me. I didn't say it's not possible, but that it isn't allowed within the rules of this contest. No IS mechs with Clan tech allowed. I can understand using a mixed chassis to show who made it while still using IS parts (note, I did something similar in the fluff of my light mech entry) but you can't actually use Clan tech on IS mechs just for this contest. It's possible to do in the game, just not here.

The BattlEscort is Technically a Clan mech due to the Fact the Wolf Dragoons themselves ARE Clan. All Tech on the Mech Is Clan. ER-M-Laser (hello!)

The Mech has no Open Critical slot you must not have done the Math right on the 16tons of extra Heat sink (13 will need placement) so
26 For Heat sink = 26use
4 for the XL Engine = 30use
18 for weapons = 48 used
-1 Hand Removeal = 47 used

Falchion FLA-1A

Mass: 75 tons
Tech Base: Inner Sphere
Chassis Config: Biped
Rules Level: Tournament Legal
Era: Clan Invasion
Tech Rating/Era Availability: E/X-X-D
Production Year: 3056
Cost: 7,297,500 C-Bills
Battle Value: 1,779

Chassis: BBW-H3-FA Standard
Power Plant: Vlar 300 Fusion Engine
Walking Speed: 43.2 km/h
Maximum Speed: 64.8 km/h
Jump Jets: Pitban LFT-50
Jump Capacity: 120 meters
Armor: Durallex Heavy Ferro-Fibrous
Armament:
1 Holly LRM-15
2 Sunglow Type 2 Large Lasers
4 Martell Model 5 Medium Lasers
Manufacturer: Brixtana Battleworks [BBW]
Primary Factory: Brixtana, Canopus IV, Sterope
Communications System: Tandy A-100
Targeting and Tracking System: O-P 2000A

Overview:
When the Taurian Concordat was finally able to put the new Double Heatsink
system into full scale production in 3052 and Ferro Fibrous armor in 3045, the
possibilities for new designs for the major power became limitless; and it was
with these two discoveries that the Taurian Defense Forces approached Brixtana
Battleworks in 3053 with the opportunity to put together a new high end line
mech that could now have the firepower and protection to take on what the
innersphere could offer.

By 3054 Brixtana Battleworks had put together the rough prototype of what would
be dubbed the Falchion named for an ancient European weapon that combined the
weight and power of an axe with the versatility of a sword, beffiting its
position as a true multi-role unit.

It wasnt until 3055 that the Magistracy Armed forces became interested in the
design, and helped fund the project; and when the testing was finished, the TDF
gave Brixtana Battleworks the green light for production, and allowed shipments
to go to both the MAF and TDF.

Capabilities:
Offensively the Falchion stands out on the modern Periphery battlefield, not
many designs fielded by the minor outlying nations of the Innersphere can truly
compete with the capabilities of the Falchion, and it carries more firepower
than any design currently in the inventory of either the Taurian Defense Forces
or the Magistracy Armed Forces. At long range pilots of the Falchion can engage
targets with its Holly LRM-15 Rack which carries enough ammo for 16 salvoes,
effectively softening the target up for the mid-short range punch of its paired
Sunglow Type 2 Large Lasers. To supplement the loss of firepower should the
opponent crowed the Falchion, a quartet of Martell Model 5 Medium Lasers can be
brought to bear. The energy heavy nature of the Falchion means that a pilot who
is conservative with his LRM ammo can stay in the fight for extended periods of
time making it a true asset especially out in the periphery.

From a defensive standpoint the Falchion is well protected, especially with the
12.5 tons of Durallex Heavy Ferro Fibrous armor allowing it to take a good bit
of punishment before failing. With its 120 meter jumping capacity, the Falchion
can handle rough terrain that would normally slow other designs down, providing
it that extra mobility that can either allow it to dodge fire, or if needed
retreat without getting bogged down.

It is also this mix of firepower and mobility that lends to its multi-role
capability, making it as effective in the open as it is in close range combat.

Variants:
Only one other factory configuration is offered by BBW, and that is the
Falchion 2A (often called the Talwar by its pilots) which swaps out the LRM 15
launcher and ammo for a Marklin SRM 6 Pack, and uses the extra weight to
upgrade the Sunglow Type 2 Large Lasers for a pair of Parti-Kill Heavy Cannon
PPCs; however in short range combat it should be noted that heat becomes a
serious problem with this configuration and its 13 double strength freezers can
easily be overwhelmed if the pilot is not careful.

For equipment placement check the link below;
http://solaris7.com/...fo.asp?ID=13713

NOTE: Durallex Heavy is the brand of Ferro Fibrous armor used by the design it is NOT Heavy Ferro. Just wanted to clarify that

Yea, but it doesn't make the tech automatically clan level. The time period that Connor listed has IS having rediscovered or made new advances in tech that close the gap. ER Medium Laser came back into play on Inner Sphere mechs in 3058, 3059 is the cut off year for this contest. The way you listed the name threw me into doubt about what chassis the mech is based off of, especially since Wolf Dragoon's doesn't exclusively use Clan mechs. Even the Clans use IS grade tech on second line units and such.

I was using Inner Sphere tech to make the machine, and I screwed up on adding heat sinks. It's funny to note you can make this mech as a non Clan tech based mech, but it suffers BADLY (in either set up) from a massive heat scale (80 max heat, OUCH!) And can fit a modest 20 heat sinks before crits take you down, which isn't that bad for an IS mech honestly. I'd probably drop some Medium Lasers...that's a lot of heat.

The BattlEscort (Decoy) is the Model of the Mech that I.S. Tech from outside the Wolf Dragoon got to work on. Still very useful in combat so this model is more common now in the Wolf Dragoons to keep prying eyes from the Main BattlEscort. The Decoy Model is use for High Level Field Officers now. Having the I.S. version of all the gear in the unit makes replacing parts much easier to get, But does lower the Fire Power & Range of the unit a Great Deal.

Oh I use a OLD Lotus 123 spread sheet that I programed up when I was MUCH young in the days of Dos 3.31. to do my mechs (Been proted over to M$ Office Excel 2007 now a days)

Edited for word correction.

I'll write up fluff later but this is supposed to be a "modern" light scout mech. It's inexpensive at 2.7m C-Bills, has a decent 7/11/7 speed which allows it to work effectively in a scout capacity, it has nearly full armor for its weight (which isn't that much really) and utilizes endo-steel and an XL Engine to free up 3.5 tons for the three ISERMLs and a flamer. It's not insanely powerful but it runs cool, it can contribute decent firepower at range with the ERMLs and has a decent utility weapon in the flamer that can set fires, kill infantry or try to heat up laser boats.

aka something along the lines of http://www.sarna.net..._Salamander.jpg but with both arms having missile pods and hands

or something more like http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Archer but with these big missile pods grafted onto the arms

Will do Heavy and Assault tomorrow, trying to format the SSW mechs is time consuming.

I am making this post to keep track of the entrants in the various weight classes. I will be updating this post and mirroring it as the last post on the front page.

TO OP: Is there a cut off date to this for a vote? Also, hope you don't mind me wasting some free time sifting through this, don't want to step on any toes.

I've posted this up before, and its a little dated in the times technologically, but I like it a lot.

Dominator DM-3R

Mass: 95 tons
Tech Base: Inner Sphere
Chassis Config: Biped
Rules Level: Tournament Legal
Era: Age of War/Star League
Tech Rating/Era Availability: D/D-E-D
Production Year: 3005
Cost: 8,482,500 C-Bills
Battle Value: 1,778

Chassis: Norse-GM HeavyTRQ Standard
Power Plant: Pitban 285 Fusion Engine
Walking Speed: 32.4 km/h
Maximum Speed: 54.0 km/h
Jump Jets: None
Jump Capacity: 0 meters
Armor: Kallon Royalstar Standard Armor
Armament:
1 Luxor Devastor-20/Defiance 'Mech Killer Autocannon/20
1 Federated/Defiance 'Mech Hunter Autocannon/10
2 Magna Mk III/Defiance B3L Large Lasers
Manufacturer: GM Industries/Norse-Storm Technologies Inc
Primary Factory: Kathil/Solaris VII
Communications System: Dalban HiRez-D
Targeting and Tracking System: Federated Hunter

Overview:
Known for their preference for autocannons, House Davion put out a bid to firms
in the Federated Suns to draft a new assault 'Mech that used heavy caliber
versions of their favorite weapon to deadly extent. GM Industries, producers of
the famed Marauder, answered the call with a new design, a 95-ton assault 'Mech
based on the Nightstar Norse-GM HeavyTRQ chassis, a high-tech Star League-era
'mech that GM no longer had the technical means to produce.

Structural plans for the 'mech were finalized in 3005, with the 'mech
undergoing a series of intense and realistic trials before being accepted by
the AFFS and placed into placed into full production status at the conclusion
of 3007. The simulations proved that though untested in real combat, the new
chassis easily was able to match, and dominate any opposition of the same
weight class. From the domination of all of its opposition in combat tests, the
new 'mech was christined the DM-3R Dominator.

After the Federated Commonwealth alliance following the marriage of Hanse
Davion and Melissa Steiner in 3028, a Lyran firm, Norse-Storm Industries - the
same firm that originally cooperated with GM to build the Nightstar centuries
ago - was allowed licensing of the Dominator's blueprints. Recognizing that
the Dominator fit their combat doctrine perfectly, the Lyrans wasted no time
and quickly began to produce Dominators in mass quantities from Norse-Storm's
production line on Solaris VII.

Capabilities:
As the design specifications outlined by the AFFS called for an assault 'mech
armed with heavy autocannons, the Dominator features two large-caliber
autocannons - one a class-10, the other a class-20 - which provide the
Dominator with a brutal one-two punch. The longer range Federated AC/10
(Lyran-produced Dominators make use of a Defiance 'Mech Hunter autocannon) is
used primarily in conjunction with the twin Magna III Large lasers (Norse-Storm
utilizes Defiance-made B3L lasers) mounted in the Dominator's arms to soften up
an enemy until it reaches suitable range to open up with the massive
large-bore, short-barreled Luxor Devastator Class-20 autocannon nestled in the
Dominator's left shoulder.

The Federated Autocannon is the same used by the Enforcer, and engineers at GM
have overcome the jamming issue that plagued the Enforcer by mounting the
cannon in the torso and reworking the ammunition feed system. The Dominator
also overcomes one of the Federated Autocannons largest shortcoming - a
decisive lack of ammunition - by utilizing an ammunition clip twice as large
containing twenty rounds instead of ten that is still as easy for tech crews to
reload as the entire magazine is removed and replaced at once.

Though only effective primarily at shorter ranges, the Luxor Devastator
(Norse-Storm produced Dominators are armed with a Defiance 'Mech Killer
autocannon) can devestate even the heaviest of armor and can even sever limbs
clean off of lighter 'Mechs with a single direct hit. The brutal large-bore
cannon creates an inferno of excess heat putting a dangerous burden on the
Dominator's heat dissipation systems - especially when fired in conjunction
with the Dominator's large lasers. To ensure the Dominator can accurately
engage targets, the autocannons and lasers are tied to a Federated Hunter
computer, famed for providing the Enforcer deadly accuracy. As the Dominator
features a similar weapons loadout as the Enforcer, the Federated Hunter suite
was a natural choice for engineers when selecting the Dominator's targeting and
tracking system.

The Dominator is powered by a 285-rated fusion engine, it can comfortably
cruise at speeds of up to 35 kp/h and can push itself to run at speeds of 55
kp/h. This gives the Dominator a comparable movement profile to an average
'Mech of its weight class. Seventeen tons of Kallon Royalstar armor make the
Dominator a hard shell to crack. The plating is well distributed amongst the
Dominator's chassis, making the Dominator one of the most heavily armored
'Mechs on the battlefield.

Deployment:
The DM-3R Dominator has been produced in large numbers by GM of Kathil since
3007. Regarded a high-value design by the state, units were ordered to destroy
any fallen Dominators in place to deny the enemy the ability to salvage one. In
one battle during operations in the Fourth Succession War, two Davion
aerofighters managed to destroy an entire company of Capellan 'mechs that were
desperately trying to capture a disabled DM-3R.

Due to the extreme security surrounding the Dominator, it remained exclusive to
the AFFS until the 3028 Norse-Storm licensing deal. After Norse-Storm's lines
were completed in 3030, the Dominator soon became a common sight on both sides
of the Federated Commonwealth. The Davion units concentrated their Dominators
in units such as the Kathil Uhlans and Davion Guard RCTs, as its heavy
firepower and high resilience fit their combat doctrine. The Lyrans have
enjoyed using the Dominator in any role possible, including recon.

Variants:
Upon recieving the license to produce the Dominator, Norse-Storm developed
their own variant of the 'Mech that highlighted the Lyran combat doctrine of
overwhelming firepower. The DM-3S removes the class-10 autocannon and replaces
it with a second Defiance 'Mech-Killer AC/20. The large lasers are also
removed, with a trio of TIC-linked medium lasers replacing them in each arm.
Though lacking any sort of ranged firepower, the DM-3S variant has proven to be
a brutal in-fighter, and has become popular in the Solaris VII dueling circuit.

I don't have any fluff for it, but I hope you like it anyways.

This 'Mech is not valid in this contest. Inner Sphere tech cannot mix with Clan Tech for this contest, a rule that I also got from the TT game.
