After some thought, I have decided that I will no longer work on The Betrayed challenge / event. I want to focus on making the Order of the Black Phoenix Challenge / Event as awesome as possible and I have also thought up a new way to do the "meta" event (which was a ways away).

Half way through with Darker's Dragon now.

In 50 matches, the win/loss is hovering around 1 (25 & 25) - it was better, but then came a streak of the team getting rolled. K/D is still bad at 0.55 (18 & 33).


Once the Stock Mech challenge is finally done, I'm thinking of doing a not-quite-Bonus 4; I've a few tons spare in my CW deck and feel a Victor would fit and be right on-brand for [(WM)], though it isn't in the #4 list. It looks ... interestingly sub-optimal

You know what? I have a spare AH and that ncix and just rebought a wang... So no customizing whatsoever right? Might be fun too keep them stock, get an AL for lazorz fun :3

If you are just starting the Challenge, you are only supposed to take the test once, answer honestly and keep your first choice. Also, if the Centurion was the Mech you got the first time, then yes, you can use the NCIX Centurion as one of your variants. Seriously though, the new skill tree will mess up this event and I am not sure that it would be worth rewriting the rules for, since HBS' BATTLETECH will be out pretty close to that time and this Challenge will end.

I think it remains to be seen whether the new skill tree comes out right away or not. Sometimes these projects ... lag a bit. I'm going to play it essentially the same: skill up 3 reinforcement variants before taking them into FP, instead of mastering them.

The added layers of grind are there for the grinders. No need to change that

Fortunately, he knows what his first two mechs are, for the initial challenge and the Bonus Challenge #1. The question is which one he quizzed up first.

Also good news:

The Victors finally got structure buffs. They don't seem notional, either.

Yes we do need to get together as a unit in the stock mech nights.

This was my original intent for the stock Mechs (I mentioned this in the rules for Stock Mech). It would be best with just WMC players, since other people have different ideas of what "stock" means. I would be up for this when I get my internet back at home.

Edit: I realize this doesn't add up (35+51=86), I just know what my stat page says. I don't remember having a tie in there anywhere.

If you get dc'ed it counts for your total matches but doesn't credit as a win or loss.
