oh wait i have a call...
what was that?? she said what?? well i don't care and the checks better cash...
Ok her grand craziness Madam Chancellor Romano Liao is picking up the tap this week personally. So we are drinking Sake. there are times I think we should just pack up, leave the Capellan Confederation, and head out to the Periphery and carve out a little bandit kingdom of our own....
or maybe join a circus, but only if they have elephants...

I hear there's a lovely little stretch of "underdeveloped" space out on Marik's periphery, sounds like a good time

That's also all the stats for all of my 'mechs. Note that I'm using the MadStats plugin to sort the data.
Note also that my Panthers and Victors have seen extensive CW shellackings, and it shows in the 'mech stats. The base stats look different, because they only show QP.
The PNT-9R does it all for me (Edit: I have 2 of this variant). It's my primary scout mech (LPL, 3MPL, XL250), sees time in almost every FP drop (mostly as the 3LL sniper, sometimes both 9Rs), and does a lot of PUG work. "My mech" is my workhorse, as intended, right Ed?
I can't explain what's going on with the GHR-5N's W/L. The DRG-1C, on the other hand, is a nice poker with 3LPL. The PNT-10P is my hobby mech. I run it when the mood strikes, and I have a great time https://static.mwomercs.com/forums//public/style_emoticons/default/smile.png
Currently finishing Mastery unlocks for the GHR-5P and -5H. Happy 'Mechin' Folks!

If you are just starting the Challenge, you are only supposed to take the test once, answer honestly and keep your first choice. Also, if the Centurion was the Mech you got the first time, then yes, you can use the NCIX Centurion as one of your variants. Seriously though, the new skill tree will mess up this event and I am not sure that it would be worth rewriting the rules for, since HBS' BATTLETECH will be out pretty close to that time and this Challenge will end.
Eh i don't think i have any skills unlocked on them on this account, maybe heat containment. May keep them stock anyway. Gonna derp around a bit with them stock though.

You are allowed to level your stock Mechs, you just can't change their loadouts / armor / engine / heatsinks / adv equipment... etc..

Yeah, I thought I had clarified that in the Stock Mech Challenge rules:
Notes:
- After you finish the 3025 Stock Mech Challenge, keep your 3025 Stock Mech as is for possible future Challenges or mini-events.
- You can purchase additional variants of your 3025 Stock Mech which you can level in order to master your 3025 Stock Mech. These additional variants can be modified and decorated however you like, but cannot be used in 3025 Stock Mech matches (as with the rest of the challenges use currency and items which you have earned in-game only).

You are allowed to buy MC colors if it was MC that was earned from in-game events. But if you did not create a brand new account for the Challenge, then nothing you have done counts for the Challenge. Starting from nothing is one of the main focuses of this challenge.

Fortunately, he knows what his first two mechs are, for the initial challenge and the Bonus Challenge #1. The question is which one he quizzed up first.

Alex, I think you may have misread the thread OP and missed the nature of the What Mech Challenge:
The "Stock Mech Challenge" is just one part of it - the third of (currently) five bonus goals after the original "Take test, create new account, buy and play only that mech to master 3 variants".
The original mech (that you got from the test) absolutely should have its build customised and be skilled up. (Just don't use RL-money-purchased resources on it; run the new account as pure F2P.) Ditto the first bonus mech (second run of the test) and second bonus mech (Clan, of the same weight as the original.)
Then and only then are you expected to put on the gimp suit and run something stock (from the list in the OP, not the test.)
That said, the more the merrier; do come join in!

My stock challenge mech was mastered somewhere in the 70's or 80's, well before the 100-match threshold.
Gonna take the 'Hoppers out to play in CW now, grind some mechbays and spacebucks.

Edit: oops, forgot the screenie

Now, how does this effects the What Mech Challenge? I will no longer be updating the What Mech Challenge OP but I will continue to observe your progress and see your stats when it is all over. Finally, if I see any questions here regarding the rules of this challenge, I will hop on as *EdSteele* and answer your questions.
Good luck Challengers!

Stock-Battlemaster is mastered

Just out of "Glühwein"-mood i bought my 1st Clan Assaultmech...Warhawk-Prime.
Sidenote: the actual steam40%off thingy works even for cbillprices. In our case: Warhawks and Shadowcats are 40%cheaper as long as that sale lasts!
personal achievement:
i (sully) jumped to Tier 2 today, only to get beaten up, and dropped down again^^
