I had AC/20 +3xSRM-4 on mine (Ed Steele account). You have to run an XL if you want to have any ammo and armor though.

Yeah ac20 srm2x3 xl275 on my main account. I just haven't saved enough for he XL yet oh well I am having fun with some troll builds

XLs and Centurions go together like Peanut Butter and Chocolate, so not seeing the problem.

So with the quirk changes tomorrow, is the ac10 CN9-D better than the CN9-A? I am also thinking the new Griffin quirks might distract me from the challenge for awhile

ZOmbie always was overrated. Moreso now. XL means more speed, more firepower. Means more damage delivered early in the match, which is what turns the tide. Never seen a stick Centy pewpew carry the team to victory. Seen plenty running round pewpewing at the end of a loss though.

But I might be a little opinionated about Centurions. Good chance I have more matches in them than pretty much anyone. At worst I'm in the "1%".

Finished Mastering my GHR's this evening. Took a screenie, but having never thought to do so (or having needed to), I cannot find the folder anywhere in the game files. I will probably sell the -5H variant, as it is by far my least favorite of the three I've leveled, and use the proceeds to purchase my first Banshee. Probably the -3E. 3x AC5's and 2x PPC's sounds fun.

However, that will have to wait a day or three, as I (and a good portion of the others reading this, I'm positive) will be playing with my Marauder for a while.

I tried a STD 275 in my CN9-A once - the XL was in my YLW and stuck in a match, so I couldn't swap it.

There are no words in Elvish, Entish, or the tongues of Man to describe that pain. Definitely better to just be killed w/ ST loss than to try and meaningfully contribute to a match as 'Stickmech'.

I am talking about the old days when the Centurion's CT was about as hard to damage as a Firestarter or Arctic Cheetah. Well, I guess I will see which bonus mech I end up with after I finish mastering my Commandos.

Oh, I know... I still ran an XL. I refuse to run a CN9 without a right arm BFG, no matter the meta. And since my preferred ride at the time was a YLW, really didn't have a choice.... go slow, and be MEH, or go 107 and pack an ac20.

I chose the latter.

Yeah! I finished all of the QM challenges for the Autumn event in my Commandos. I managed to fully elite one, almost fully elite another and buy and optimize a third. Have to work tomorrow, so won't have time for the CW event .

Imprtant reminder: the patch notes for today say something about 12,5mio CBills for the "cadet" games. So every new "challenger" should be able to buy anything.

I guess the most of us (active challengers) are already Tier 3

...and playing a unskilled, underequipped mech lets YOU become the babyseal. You have no idea how many "bought" Clanmechs (I) are running around in T4

This challenge is not about trolling, it is about becoming the best that you can be in a mech that you did not choose and which you bought and optimized purely using in-game currency (and event rewards).

Welcome! We have a number of Atlas pilots in the challenge, yes they are painful to level, but they are getting a huge survivability boost with today's patch.
