Looks like we will be with Davion for the beginning of the event and switching in the middle. Also, I doubt that we will be able to get 12 of us on at the same time, so if you see anyone from the unit online, try to coordinate your drops, or drop as a smaller group.

Centurions take a bit of getting used to. They're a skirmisher by nature, they don't fare too well in protracted brawls for the most part. Learning how to use their shield arm is paramount to their success. Try to dance around the outskirts of the battle, taking shots and ducking back to cover quickly. The -AH is a bit difficult to use as well, because it utilizes all ammo dependant weaponry. What build are you running on it?

I'm in the same boat trying to get my next atlas. At least the first one has 70,000 exp stored on it.

Yeah I have a set up I like on the al but jumped the gun on th AH to take advantage of 2xp last weekend. I can't complain the scores I posted are honestly as High As I would expect from any of my mechs. I just needed something to whine about

I am a sucker for new shinies so I always go for the new mech. Smarter people probably optimize their owned mechs first:)

Well...here's my conundrum.
Whilst I don't like TBolts, overall, they are considered better performers than VTRs. So if I want to see returns and Cbills, in theory, the Thuds would be the route to go.....right?

Depends - you seem to have a knack for making underperforming 'mechs perform. I would probably shell out for the engine first, that way you can have two optimized VTR's ready to go. Maybe even sell the VTR you don't plan on using for anything and only bought because you had to master them, and use the proceeds to replenish - an admittedly small portion - of your cbills to start working toward the T-bolt.

I am a bit of an OCD completionist, so I would probably totally optimize the Victors first, not to mention that BATTLETECH is at least a year away, so you have plenty of time to do both. Also, I still have to think up the next BONUS for people who have their six mechs completely mastered.
Also, heads up guys, our Davion contract will end shortly and I will be taking a 7 day contract with Kurita next, since that is what most of you wanted.

OK...ya'll convinced me. One fully kitted out VTR-9S it is. xl360, 4xJJ, AC20 (ammox4), 2xML, 3xSRM4 (ammox3). Let's hope I don't regret it.

Opalescent Death - Proud pilot of panthers and victors (shudder), will be joining the challenge as soon as I earn enough cbills to actually build a workable panther.
Why couldn't I have chosen something like a hunchback or even a cataphract?

Don't forget that the tutorial gives you 5 million cbills right at the start, if you complete it, so don't skip over it

And invite to the unit has been sent.
