I like to think it is me making the pug team win but my avg damage and K/D ratio show other wise. i do try to herd the cats after i die though,.

I think getting popped into tier 3 so dang fast has made me running my stock RFL-3N waaaaay harder than I like. I mean... tissue paper armor and frying pan in Hell heat dissipation ain't exactly helping either.... but boy howdy..... do I wish I'd ended up choosing a slightly cooler running Stock Mech for the challenge. I actually really should get back into that.

while the MAD 3R is a almost half again as heat efficient as the RFL 3N (24% vs 16%) it has it's problem with heat. i put every weapon in it's own group. i never ALPHA. it is a death sentence in this thing. i have found by using 5 groups it spaces my shots out enough to make the heat manageable, that and not playing lazor vomit. the AC5, with only 30 shots gets used sparingly mostly when i am too high on the heat scale to even think about energy weapons. at range i get into a rhythm of AC5 left ppc right ppc. get close it is the med lazors and AC5 while i try to back out of PPC min range. always have a place to hide while this monster that cools at the same rate as fresh lava. i used to think i had some hot running mechs LOL was i wrong. how in the world did we ever play these things on TT with out melting down the table? lol

Not bad - similar stats to my Stock Challenge run (identical win/loss!) I guess I had an advantage that noone expects a Dragon to lead a push, while a Marauder is scary and high on threat lists (and the stock loadout looks nasty even if you can't fire many volleys without cooking.)

And ... helped by the last event's Premium Time, Darker Tidings's Victors are done.



Not-quite-bonus-challenge #4 (because not on the list; I should've Stalker'd) complete; IS drop-deck now closer to max tonnage and Victor-wave capable. I've also been able to weapon-module them up as I have Darker's other mechs, with just enough GXP to unlock what I needed.

For bonus #5 I think the Timber Wolf will work giving me a possible 2 Timby / 2 Adder deck. I'll have to build up some more C-Bills first however, so time to get back into FW drops.

Would it be possible for someone with the rights to find us a new contract?

There's a new event starting this weekend, with some C-bills and MC on offer if you can get 400 cumulative FW match score in a day (doubled if your side wins that day.) Ooh, and some other challenges I didn't see before, with much MC, cash, and supply cache keys there for the taking (taking may require a certain amount of FW grind.)

There's a lot of goodies out there.

I'm grinding my primary account harder these days, but I'm grabbing a handful of matches here and there too.

These rewards are really nice for an f2p account, from the 7 days PT, to the mechbays, GXP, and both flavors of game currency.

Worth any matches we spend. Plus, if we drop enough and get enough XP as a group, everyone in the unit gets goodies

We're within a hair of getting a unit-wide GXP and C-bills reward! 1-2 non-scouting drops should do it, which I will this evening if noone else gets there first.

It's been a pretty good event, all-in-all, even though I have gone on severe tilt in a couple of the worse matches (being on the receiving end of a large-group-vs-randoms curbstomp.) Even though the progress bar's movement shows the balance of things and you can baseline-expect IS to lose, there is good gameplay to be had out there.

It might be worth contacting PGI directly - there's forum history in this thread to associate you, and they might be able to do something like "send to the email address associated with [character name]'s account". As long as you didn't lose access to any email addresses you've used you could then recover it.
