Friendly Spot-Check: They'll need to complete 25 cadet matches. The current verbiage states 15.

Also, many mechs are on sale right now, so you will have more choices when you spend your initial C-Bill earnings.

Yes, the new challenge starts out very similarly to the What Mech Challenge, but rest assured, it will get much different. The first main difference is that your choice of mech is only limited by the initial amount of C-Bills that you earn during the Academy (which should be a maximum of 5,000,200).

Yeah, I thought about letting people use their existing WMC accounts, but that would give them too much of an advantage over people who start fresh.

On a side note, I have already started an account. And remember, you only have a couple of days to take advantage of the sale, you won't be able to get a Warhammer or Marauder when they are back to their regular prices.

i agree with making this new challenge a new account. My WMC account was fun and exciting. Being a pure mercenary struggling from the bottom is not the same as a being a paladin on the road to glory through Odinism. i will revile myself on the new challenge once i have found a worthy mech.

BTW i will still be around here as i like being a merc.

As I said earlier, the new challenge will be integrated with the WMC unit, infact Challenge 1 will get that going.

Reminds me more of the Black Phoenix, with the required stock start. That's IS or ClanTech, right?

In the 9 Noble Challenge, you can buy any mech, Clan or IS, that you can afford with the C-Bills you earned during the Academy training (about 5,000,200 C-BILLS).

Housekeeping:

ih8victors and I tried hard to bid up the LCCC for a premium contract working alongside the FWLM in Marik space.

We couldn't get them over that 30% threshhold though, so we're sticking with Cappellan cash for the time being. Not gonna incur jumpship and dropship costs to go someplace with the same contract cost.

Also, the office of the Chancellor here didn't seem particularly thrilled with the prospect of ih8victors leaving Capellan space. No need to stir anything up with The Celestial Wisdom without sufficient reason.

Can 9NC challengers spend any c-bills (or MC, I suppose) for cosmetic changes during the cadet rounds?

I'm assuming there will be plenty of cost involved later, of course, but figured I'd ask.

Noble Challengers can spend any C-Bills or MC earned in-game on cosmetic changes, however, you would probably want to save your earnings to unlock skill points and possibly for some of the challenges


Also, we need to have the WMC Coordinator situation resolved before people start getting to Challenge 1 in the 9NC.

Unfortunately I have not been making much progress on my 25 cadet matches because I started playing Mass Effect Andromeda recently, but I plan on getting at least a match or two in each night.

What did we need resolved? Do we need more coordinators (more than the two people doing it right now)?

ih8victors deputized me as an assistant challenge coordinator, so I can help from this account. He and I both can probably deputize the 9NC accounts as well if it seems helpful, but with 3xnihilo (Caesar Octavius) on hiatus, that leaves just the two of us, regardless of how many accounts are active.

At the time I posted that comment, I was not sure if there was still an acting coordinator or not. Noble Challengers will be integrated into the WMC unit, but I have not decided exactly how yet (more info should come with Challenge 1).
