Ironically, I won't complain if I get a bunch of "Trick" Flamers. Hopefully Flamers will be fixed soon and I can put them to much use. What better way to celebrate Halloween then with the fires of a hellish flamethrower?

Very poorly designed event imo.
There should be a mechanism for new players and low skilled players to participate in the event. E.G, adding up the scores from games that are sub 250 until they equal 250 to get a reward. Or every 3 wins get one etc etc etc, but instead they chose a method that basically ensures only the higher skilled/experienced players will see any good out of the event.
Oh, and it also means that people who aren't in mechs that are hot in the meta are screwed aswell. Inadvertedly screwing new players, enforcing a meta game and giving the fingers to lower skilled players in one fell swoop.
So yeah basically **** everything about this event. To recap.
- The event is exclusive. Only a small percentage of the playerbase will be able to participate meaningfully.
- The event changes how players play the game. Reducing the quality of the games.
- Because of the score focus anyone who is in a Trial mech, or isn't running a Meta mech is totally ****** and will basically see maybe 1 reward every 10 game
- Based on wins. That way 50% of people get a prize every game.
- Random chance per game that increases every game you go without a prize. So game 1 you have a 25% chance, game 2 50%, 3 75% and game 4 if you got no prize yet the counter resets.
- You are given a mission at the start of a match "Destroy an arm" or "Kill a mech by destroying his legs" or "Score 6 assists" etc

As mentioned by Russ, the Chance of gettig the Timberwolf is 1% (or 0,01) per "grab into the bag".
Therefore, the chance of not getting it is 99% or 0,99 per "grab into the bag".
Without having the warhammer preordered you can have a maximum of 125 "bag grabs" (5x25, 25 per game mode).
With Warhammer preorder, you get 25 additional grab, summing up to 150.
Now it is calculated as follows:
The Overall chance of NOT getting the Timber Wolf is 0,99^125 which is 0,2847 or 28%. This means, the chance of GETTING the Timber Wolf is 1-0,2847 which is 0,7153 or 71,5%. (WITHOUT Warhammer preorder).
The Warhammer preorder increases the chance to 1-0,99^150 = 0,7785 or 77,85%.
Conclusion:
Without Warhammer: 71,5%
With Warhammer: 78,85%

And this is only true if you really manage to get all the 125 possible "grabs into the bag".
So, either you are good enough to get one every game (with random missions this still takes a lot of games), or you have to grind your way through a brutally high number of matches...

If you're pulling off half your games at 250+ then that's 250 matches, some being long ass CW matches. So a 70% chance of a 15 million c-bill timber in 250 matches, during which you will have, averaging 100k a match, made 25 million c-bills. If you already have a timber then that's a 7.5m value? I mean, yes it's a nice gesture but since you CAN fail to get it and since the 'Mech Bay is the better part of the value. . . honestly, unless you're lucky it's probably not worth grinding for.

The extra problem is also, e.g. in PUGs you get the mission type at random... so maybe you end up with 60x skirmish, 10x conquest and 5x assault... so even if you get 250 score every time, you only get 40 tickets in 75 games.
