I just want to see an option to play ONLY with your same tier.

I know a large part of the reason they have such a large variance is because they want a larger player pool for MM, but I also think they are trying to prevent blowback from players that are hiding their tiers; since it'd be easy to suss out everyone's tier regardless if they have it hidden or not.

I think higher quality matches should supercede fragile egos.

..And if somebody wants to wait longer for a better quality match, let them.

Take off the rose tinted glasses bro. The original fallout's were HUGELY about that. large tracts of walking around the wasteland [ie moving through the overworld map] before an encounter of some kind, which could be everything from radscorpions, to super mutants, to the Doctor's TARDIS. [I'm not even kidding here.]

The old games have just about as much story as the new ones frankly. it's just told from an isometric perspective instead of first/third person... seriously though, take off the nostalgia glasses and relook at the series. It's not exactly the strongest, and I'd argue that the storyline and endgame of FO3 is stronger than either FO1 or 2. [before the dlc changed the ending that is.]

Fallout 3 is really not good compared to Fallout 1. No amount of hipster Kotaku articles is going to change that. If you think FO3 is the 'classic' of the series then you're ignorant.

That said, I enjoyed Fallout 3 because, well, it's bloody Fallout. I recently replayed it with mods and it was a blast.

But it's not on the same level as Fallout 1.

Fallout 3 - uninstalled it after 2 hour of play. The max time I can stand this game. Bad bad game.
Fallout 4 - nothing new after Fallout 3.
Bethesda sucks in that games.

I wouldn't call the Bethesda Fallout games awesome--they have their own charm... but they aren't the original games, either.

As for Morrowind, I played through it again about a year ago using the Morrowind Overhaul and it was wonderful. It reminded me of why I don't like the newer TES games, Oblivion and Skyrim, that much.

Morrowind was about story and world building while Oblivion and Skyrim because fancy time wasters with mixed to bad writing.

Until they realise it's not made by Black Isle studio but Bethesda and will likely be the dumbeddown fallout3 sequel and not the awesome New Vegas sequel.

To be fair, Fallout 4 seems to have a much more positive (and colourful) "we're rebuilding this nuked-out world" feel to it than the bleak, green, "everything-is-destroyed-and-we-might-not-make-it" feel of Fallout 3. We'll see, but that's what I get from the previews that's been shown, and also (IIRC) what Bethesda said they were aiming for.

As for Fallout 3, Steam says I have played 100 hours of it, but that's just because I bought it on Steam this year; I've played well over 300 hours before that on a non-Steam installation.

I'm sure that I'll spend roughly the same amount of time in FO4, so no need to do it all at once. I will be playing it on the 10th, of course, but not binging (he said, trying to convince himself ).

I had no idea only high skilled mech pilots played fallout. I know I will be playing fallout for the next month ha-ha. Time I get back cw beta 3 should be out.
