Who chose the 4 and why?

Would it not be better to be able to choose your founder mech/mech's from all 14?

You can only Choose between the Atlas, Jenner, Hunchback or Catapult. No other founder's 'Mechs are available.

I choose the Catapult because I wanted jump jets and DPS.

Probably because they were the first 4 put into the game and also because they each fill a seperate role in a different weight class, making them the most viable choices

PGI and it's the first 4 mech's developed so have the most complete of the mech's.

Also they are all primes so you can advance in them, unlike the fixed variant there where going to give.

I went with the Legendary pack to get all four... partly because I want to support PGI and MWO....and partly because I couldn't decide which 'Mech to pick when I thought I had to just pick one.

Initially I went with the Elite package and picked the Catapult. However, after 2 weeks or so, I decided to get all four mechs and to support Piranha's efforts.

All of the Mechs were selected because they are some of the classic Mechs for their individual classes.

Maybe they want you to also try different mechs out too. Say your favorite mech in the whole wide world is the Jager, and they let you get a founders Jager, that'll the only mech you'll ever play anymore.

after the great macross/battletech fiasco that created the unseen/reseen garbage, I'd say the Atlas is THE iconic mech of Battletech (though the Catapult is >definately< right there with the Atlas).

I'm contemplating upgrading to the elite founder level because when I think about it, it's just an inevitability that I'll keep an Atlas in my mech bay, so seriously, why not get one that nets me +25% income forever...

I like all four mechs. They each have a diffrent strenth and weakness. Since I like to play long range and mid range the first three mechs will give me a lot of options with the mechlab. I've been playing Mercs and experimenting with its mech lab for kicks so I'm pretty stoked about how mwo's mechlab and all its options. I also went legendary because I hope the game takes off and lasts years.

I settled for a Jenner but if I had my choice of available mechs I'd take a Raven as my founder mech.

I only went elite as thats how much you usually spend for a game when you buy, plus I like orange. lol

I decided to go with the catapult for my founder mech.

I chose the Hunchback and it's fairly simple why.

I don't like/have any interest in the Jenner.

I like and use the Catapult but that's only when I am feeling lazy or filling in for fire support either indirect or direct.

I don't mind piloting an Atlas but I prefer a Stalker or Awesome for the assault chassis.

And as I am primarily a front assault group support medium mech that leaves me the Hunchback.

I really dislike the argument because nobody who makes it I feel is thinking. Both Elite and Legendary are given 80 dollars of the rear world monetary equivalent in MWO and can use it to buy whatever units they wish. So yes, it is the one of the most expensive units in the game. But your given essentially 80 dollars to spend for free on whatever mechs/items you wish.

Atlas is the worst choice if you don't like to play the assault role. A mech unused is a dust collector. I rarely plan on piloting assault mechs.
