At this point IMO it doesn;t matter what they put in, it will only serve to shake up "the meta", and will do very little to fix any underlying issues.
Convergence is repeatedly asked for, and denied, though it would solve some issues. I have moved on and have been asking for some heat scale testing for a while now. Heat scale, doesn;t require any new code. It just needs some values adjusted in a spread sheet. PGI feels heat scale is, and always has been, pretty much spot on.
So, regardless of ranges etc, we will continue to see our instagib alpha strikes. Maybe the weapons will change, or the range, or maybe even the mechs people use for it. But it will still be there driving CoD with mechs for the supposed Esport crowd.
oh well I guess. I own 200 mechs or something. I am sure one of them will be useful in our new meta. At least I can play this game on again/off again as it dwindles down into insolvency without spending any more money.

You have no idea what you are talking about. How many hours have you logged on the PTS? I'm trying to actively make the game better for us all, while you're on the sidelines trying to troll my thread. Kindly see yourself out. Thanks.

I've had an idea for the command console for a while, namely to make it act as a missilelock akin to TAG/NARC as well as making the enemy targeted appear as a large diamond dorito with a line connecting it to a circle for focus fire. I thought it would go a long way towards closing the gap between IS and Clans in CW and keep the lore flavor.

I work two part time jobs and go to school full time. Now I will tell you the same thing I told the other troll, kindly show yourself out and go spread your negativity elsewhere.

We had the poptart meta for a year, followed by the laservomit meta for a year and a half. I for one welcome the new meta overlords, whatever shape they'll take for the next year or two.
Sure, I miss the days when PGI would actually modify the base stats and base mechanics in MWO, instead of coming up with elaborate schemes and convoluted mechanics and quirks to fix everything. Sure, it would have been nice to see the base mechanics (missile lock, missile trajectory) for LRMs and SSRMs fixed. And yeah, I would have preferred to see Role Warfare implemented via multiple skill trees with different options, as opposed to Module Endgame and Quirk Warfare.
At least it's not more stagnation. At least something is happening and I have something to look forward to, besides new mechs and a new dropship animation in CW. At least they're trying to get some kind of teamwork and role warfare going, even if it's not likely to work as intended.
At least they're willing to try new stuff now. The stagnation in the past 18 months has been brutal.

Excellent communication in the other PTS sessions besides the first? So youre saying the only problem with communication is that you didnt tell people ahead of time it was barebones and you had idea what you were doing? No wonder you think the communication in the next one will be great. You live in a fantasy world.
Show me one freaking dev post on the forums where you outline where someone made a suggestion, and you took that suggest and implemented it.
You had to wait until prodded on twitter to let us know the laser nerf was "turfed".
Please. Fire yourself. Fire Paul. Hire someone who has some idea what theyre doing. This is ridiculous. Youre the worst company since the guys who made Xtreme Paintbrawl.

Apparently he didn't like the torches and pitch forks comment...
Note to self.. Never mention torches and pitch forks to Russ..
Meanwhile.. Surprised this thread isn't in K-Town yet...
Anyway... With 'Laser Lock' gone.... There isn't much to QQ about... Maybe RIP Gauss..
Other than that... Is just Inner Sphere being the underdogs that we are..

Reading how you sh*t yourself all over his twitter. Or, the fact you did it on his day off.
Way to go.

That's good news. 2 days ago i spectated yet another clueless lrm boat who thought he was some kind of sneaky ninja. Maybe now he will actually hit something with his missiles.
Doesn't matter, Clan LRMs do almost no damage. And then there is that "L" in LRM.
