Horned Owl,

NP ;)

Sometimes it is difficult to come up with an idea that works for the name. So I did some more thinking and came up with a new one. Let me know what you think ;)

I recognize it... but I cannot remember who it belongs too <_<

I keep wanting to say early Davion or Steiner... but I am not sure.

I would say it's very early Terran Hegemony, or perhaps one of the Marik states, but I couldn't tell you which source it's from or what it stands for, for sure.

I cheated, and read the story from here: http://bg.battletech...p?topic=21384.0

However, it's still a somewhat confusing image, though I do remember seeing it in black and white.

Yes, the very first insignia the FWL used after its founding. Who needs that black or purple eagle, anyway. :D

holy moly! A simple redraft of that and it'd look great, I'd even say I would take it over the one we have now. (count down for hate in 3...2...1)

I have been working on the following for a little while, now, and just finishing up at 1:30am MST, and I'm very excited to show this off. Before anyone complains,

1) The Wolf's head is absolutely huge on purpose, for a few reasons. For one, it's supposed to be a huge robotic beast rising from the dead, and two, the entire logo needs to fit in whatever space it's fitted into.

2) It's grey and silver on purpose, as it will fit better with AUs camo pattern and colors.

3) Yes, it's pixelated around the edges, and I don't have the program necessary to be able to do anything about that, especially since the image came from a much larger one, and anti-aliasing only goes so far.

4) The coffin is meant to evoke the ideal of David Montgomery Wolf's coffin -as he was the leader of Equal Opportunity Destroyers and the Grandfather to the current leader of Armageddon Unlimited.

So, without further adieu, here goes...

You might have a bit of a copyright issue with "Burger King" and there registered trademark, if you keep all the elements similar and only change the text. You didn't even change the font type, so you might want to try again. Just saying.

I agree with you, 9erRed, but legally the BK corporation really couldn't do anything against him, as the image has been changed by more than 10%.

So, newly free from my prior engagement, I'm looking to get back into doing some insignia work for the first time in a year and a half. Willing to do some free requests (mainly for my own sanity), here are the rules:

0. I'll start with five of these request "slots", and maybe do some more later.
1. First come, first served. One image per requester.
2. Each work will be one pass after the initial description; no revisions/rework.
3. Any images will be in a particular style: 3-5 colors, no gradients, 1000x1000 .png format.
4. I will follow the spirit of your direction, but reserve the right of artistic licence.
5. This is a one-time offer, there are no promises of future work.
6. Any work will be released to the public under creative commons.
7. I reserve the right to upload the final work to my personal websites.
8. I reserve the right to cease work at any time without notice (I don't anticipate a need for this, but I'm throwing it in for my own sake).

I request a 4th Wolf Guards insignia. I hope you can look on the Wolf Clan Sourcebook for the description as i have it but it is lost in an external backup hard disk..

Do you need any more detail? :D

Well, the insignia changes depending on the time period. In the 3050s it's a golden cyclops head in 3/4 profile, but following the Jade Falcon refusal war it is changed over to a rabid wolf leaping in mid air. Got a preference?

That was kinda the point, that the King Flight logo was a parody of the Burger King logo. I deliberately sought out the Burger King logo and a font that matched theirs as closely as possible. I'm not using as a real world organisation, not even as group who play MWO, but purely as a fictional insignia used by a fictional group. In fiction. That I'm not getting paid for.

In other news, I was going to ask Hayden for Lyran Alliance and Lyran Commonwealth insignias, since between him and Ironhawk I've got access to beautiful redrawn versions of all the Successor Houses except those, as PGI snatched him away before that could happen. Then I realised that my own art skills have matured in that time enough that, heck, I could probably work some of my own from his Federated Commonwealth insignia. So I have.

And here's one entirely by my own hand, the Oberon Confederation.
