[Nomex 99]

Not technically unit insignia, but I've started a little side project to rework the clan point ID markings. The notion I'm working with is that these identification markings should use one or two colors and simple to read and understand.

It's not meant to just be black and white, as an aside. How I've been using it, is with one "Darker" color and one "Lighter" color.

Just noticed this thread, the official Black Hearts logo is my forum avatar on every forum but this one since it won't let us pick custom ones. Stoneworks Digital made a poster that was presented to Kesmai in the 90's and FASA adapted his artwork as official logos. The Kuritan logos are uploaded at www.blackheartsclan.com. I know the Davion guys have their logos as well, if they have not already presented them.

I'm getting ready to run a MW campaign for RP and I'm having the players be remnants of the 22nd Smoke Jaguar Freebirth Cluster that attacked Luthien. There was no logo for them, so I came up with this. I thought it reflected the lazy freebirth attitude they would probably have.

That is beautiful. Just an observation, though, that looks almost more like an Air Force unit patch; there's nothing wrong with that, and may actually fit more based on what you described, above, hehe.

Well actually the first thing I found was the lounging Leopard / Jaguar on a tree, so then I was going to put it lounging on a Dropship but I couldn't find an image I liked, so I used a globe and since it was the 22nd Freebirth Cluster, I had to put a 22 on there. I was going to use the standard growling Jaguar or leaping but that is done all the time, and these are Freebirths after all, and we all know they are lazy shiftless good for nothings, so I thought the lounging cat would better convey how they embraced the derision from the Trueborns and made it part of their logo.
Thanks for the kind words, obviously this is not a cannon logo but there is nothing documented about them and I don't normally like the SJ's but a Freebirth unit sounded like a fun idea. I'm sure they are not the most fervent Jaguars, since I'm sure they are treated like crap.

Your take on the Blue Star Irregular Insignia would be cool to see if your willing . it's pretty simple though so I understand if there's not much to do.
