I understand how you and similar players feel in this regard,... that being said, ill explain my reasoning (and mine alone, even if some think im a bad guy)
The French are like close cousins in a way. We are all citizens of the West, we share common values, principles, history, etc, etc... All my family is from New Orleans, Louisiana, my girlfriends grandparents were French,... I live in Fayetteville, NC, a city named after Lafayette. My point is, tragedy is tragedy, and i feel compassion for all people, regardless of nationality.... but it just feels more close to home when something like this happens in the West, to people that are so very similar to myself and my loved ones here in USA.
Maybe thats wrong of me, i dunno.... the only analogy i can think of is this
Its normal for someone to attend the funeral of a close family member who dies, but is it normal to attend the funeral of everyone who dies where you live.... doesnt mean i dont care about other people who have died or the people who knew them, etc.... it just hits closer to home, we are all westerners and share so many similarities...and it feels more personal.... and im also very liberal btw, and care about all people in this world.
just figured i share my thoughts
I absolutely understand what you're trying to say and I somehow share those thoughts.
The point is that I think it is time for people to finally learn to feel united as humanity. We're all cousins and we should feel so for everyone.

Well done PGI.
To all: Honor those whos lives have been taken. Please look up info on Islam. Our ignorance only helps those who would do these evil acts.
Radical Islam is the enemy, pretending it isn't through the guise of political correctness does no one any good. Note I said Radical Islam, which doesn't mean just Islam. That being said, if one were to truly look up factual information on Islam they would come to the realization is that it's a political tool of conquest rather than a religion.

gotta love the idiot who takes specific sections out of a scripture so he can use them out of context. might want to try looking at the bible and that amount of horrible crap it lists Christians doing.

in all honesty, it's Fundamentalists period we should worry about. it's not the religion's fault, it's people taking stuff out of context so they can justify the ":right" to kill people. plenty of Christian fundamentalist groups around too.
