A ONLY part of the game designed primarily FOR Group and Unit play and there is something wrong with it because solo's wont take part in it?
Only thing wrong here is people not grouping up and using the tools asked for to compete with larger groups.
Plenty goes wrong when you do not take part in the core part of this game mode.
CW is NOT solo queue.
big groups dont have the numbers to have there own game mode, i do have a problem with pgi spending huge amount of resorces on a game mode thats deserted most of the time
i like clan wars, i pug it (and yes i get stompt often but i can live with it) but most of the time i cant play it cos no one is in que,
for the moment i think cw would be better of pug only, atleast then it would be PLAYED...

Correction. The only way to help CW is to encourage solo players to play via well-crafted game modes. Here is an example.
Creating a separate queue is the worst thing you can do.

Considering we can just sit in TS, look at the numbers in the queue, then all drop into a lobby together and sync. People do that now on defence since we can't make CW groups with players from different factions. Even faction chat is mostly asking for x players needed on x planet, so even pugs are syncing. top that off with open faction TSs advertised in chat, basically everyone is a premade.
It's not even that issue people are QQing about. They don't know it, but it's the skill gap not organised teams people are QQing about.

This made me laugh. Since the opposition is too "easy" have any so called "comp" players downgraded their builds to compensate? Or did they scream into chat with the obligatory "L2P noob!"? If they want "quality" they'd take it upon themselves to do this.
My new slogan: "You're not comp if you're not stock."

Have you noticed how many people play CW when they are bribed to?
Imagine what it will be like when we actually have real rewards where Group and Unit play will actually matter. Have rewards for Group and Unit play in CW, where it should be, and you will see far more Group and Unit play.
Then we can read how solo play is not rewarded, again, in a part of the game primarily focused on Group and Unit play.

This is exactly like how MWO was at launch when it was 8 mans getting free wins over and over because there was no matchmaking to speak of.
Why do you do this PGI? Why do you refuse to put teams of the same skill level and organization against each other and just keep allowing people to get free wins?
This is a totally fair and balanced match up guys. Hey, why don't we hold tournaments that consist purely of organized teams vs randoms, instead of pitting organized teams vs each other? Sounds like a great idea?

Those highly organized groups were the ones screaming for CW to be "Hardcore Mode" and soon after were stomping casual players in PUGs into the dirt and rubbing their faces in it with "Learn to Play", etc.
What they failed to appreciate is that 80-90% of the population are solo/casual gamers and they didn't sign up to be abused in the CW the Elite wanted. Now, the organized elite cry about the CW they created. PUGs should avoid CW at all costs, especially new players, and I have ZERO sympathy for the groups that made it that way.
So the organized groups got what they demanded, and now they can play with themselves. In case you aren't sure, I meant that in the way it sounded.

Russ explained in great detail in the last town hall why there is no match making in CW. You need to listen to it. But the best thing you can do for CW is join a unit.

Company A: We have created a separate OPTIONAL game mode for more coordinated teams and make it a little more challenging for the portion of the crowd that likes things more difficult.
Players A: That's great! Now I can play with my dedicated team and unit and not have to worry about listening to people tell me I'm "cheating", "pug hunting", "newb bashing", etc.! Thanks!
Players B: Wha??? You mean I can't jump in the dedicated team queue specifically designed for coordinated teams to give them a completely separate and OPTIONAL game mode??? The injustice!
Players with common sense: So, I can keep dropping in the exact same way as before with the same game modes as before, with no dedicated teams and nobody but other solo players who just PUG for fun? Awesome!
Which one of the above players is the only one that seems to have an issue with a completely separate optional game mode that does not prevent them from advancing in any way just like they have since MWO opened it's doors?
Seriously, I've just never understood this. If you don't like playing against coordinated team then use every other mode available to the game. There's one singular mode that acts in this manner. If you want to play solo style "casually", then play in the other queues.
I still don't understand the complaints in this regard. If you want to play in the solo queue then do so. If you want to compete in the team queue, then do so. Sure there are stomps, sure there are rolls, but it's not because of some evil boogeyman in the premade queues, it's almost always because a team got severely out played.
Whether that be due to force composition, mech build, teamwork, player skill, etc. It's almost unique to this game also. I have never in my life seen another community complain about something like this when there are two separate queues for both style of players to play the game. Makes no sense to me, never has.

to do that u would obviously need to change the que it cw.. 2 options attak ore defend for your faction the mm will put you some where, and if sinc drops still where a problem it could be resolved by making maches every 2 minutes, and shuffeling the players between those maches independend of the exact time they droped...
it realy is not that difficult to make it harder to sync drop

Granted I only played 7 matches (because that's all I needed to get all of the prizes), but I played all of them as a solo pug and what you describe only happened once. I did have 1 other game against a 12-man, but that 12-man was a lot of fun to play against. They did win, but it was reasonably close (I think we had 40 kills to their 48).
So... sorry, but no. You just need to choose your matches more carefully. It's pretty easy to avoid the 12-mans if you just pay attention and choose your planet carefully.

If you want balanced matchmaking, there's the group and solo queues with a matchmaker built specifically for that purpose.
CW is "supposed" to be a simulated invasion/war between factions. The faction with the stronger teams and superior numbers wins. Balancing games around even numbers and skill distribution literally defeats the entire purpose of CW. It's not a mode that exists just so you can get better CBill payouts.

That's kinda the point as well. If you WANT to, you can drop in the more "competitive" area of the game.
IF
YOU
WANT
TO
I'm still trying to figure out how introducing an entirely new, separate, and completely optional game mode that is pretty much universally and officially (as in directly from PGI's mouths) THE "hardcore" mode for TEAMS and TEAM PLAYERS as opposed to solo.
IF you do drop in that queue as a solo player you have been thoroughly warned, been given every piece of information you need to make an informed decision about whether or not the CW queue is for you. If it's not, then don't play it. If you don't find it enjoyable, don't drop in it.
Don't, however, flop around on the forums talking about "fairness" and such.
Fair?
Fair is having a place (just like solo types and "casual" players have had since day 1) that allows those who play in coordinated teams to play as well.

I really do not understand why some people insist on turning CW into just one of the other regular game modes, other than:
"Wah! Wah! But I want to play as John James Rambo!"

1) Remember what unit players are in
When you see them say "need X players to attack on planey Y" join that game.
2) Sit in LFG, units will often grab no names from there to fill out for an insta drop.
Big units like MS don't always want to drop 12 mans because it lowers their income.
If you can ride the wave of an 8man pwning the enemy, bonus for you.

I also finished the event in under 10 CW matches.
The match against 228 was a trash garbage match (also my first Cw match in months so drop deck was horri-bad).
The -MS- match we dragged the match out for almost the full 30 minutes (they destroyed the cannon just before clock ran out).
I suggest if you come across a 12 mans stick it to them and make them play the full 30 minutes because if they are going to ruin the game for pugs then making them wait longer to get to the next match is about the only thing you can do as a pug.

soooo
12mans are ruining the game for PUGs?
Can you explain to me how those players are doing that?
They log in
They join their team
They play the game within the rules as everyone else does
Maybe you can explain how that ruins the game for PUGs?
Better yet, maybe you can suggest what those players (not PGI since you said the players are "ruining" the game) are supposed to do?
Maybe you have a suggestion for how those 12man groups are supposed to stop "ruining" the game for PUGs?
