It occurred to me, at some point whilst doing something else, that a simple way to make CW mean something is to have a simple leader board. So in part CW becomes like ranked matches.
I would a leader board for each type of unit and individuals. So:
Merc unit would compete on total c-bills earned.
Loyalist units would compete on most planets taken and held (largest increase in territory).
individuals would be on match score.
You'd have a season say 3 months and at the end of it prizes for the top teams.
there you go just a thought

Mercstar wins (due to consistently fielding more teams in CW more of the time than any other unit).

well that is usually the reason people win these leader board things. Want to beat them then you have to engage more with CW.

Easy to beat them.
Just have to be lucky that you drop against them when they all are on their dummy accounts in CW.
And then watch a few well known Units rise to the top of leaderboards then then get kicked off for cheating and resulting Event rule changes.
