Good Sir, I find your statement insulting and blatantly incorrect.

The CLANS won the first Tukayyid event. Not Mercstar.

It is true that Mercstar was the Most Valuable unit, and by a fair margin, but it was in no-way one sided. It was a team effort, and saying that only Mercstar was the key, would be like saying that the most deserving person for the moon landing was Neil Armstrong.

When in fact, he was just the most famous.. And the praise goes to thousands of scientists and engineers.

So don't tell me MS won the Tukayyid event for us.. its just not true.

And if you think it is, you are either ignorant, or just a common troll. Not even a bridge troll, or a cave troll.. Just a common one.

P.S.

Why don't we dig up some actual numbers and see?

Thanks for the link. I had lost the matches played data some time back, so to restate my "burnout assertion" OLD played 1325 matches with 40 players listed (33 average), but several of those players did 1 or 2 drops and I have to assume our more active players did at least 60 matches in a 6-day window.

So assuming 30 minutes per match you are looking at wait..

40 match points... ..1 match point for a score over 100.

So 40 CW matches - that is a whopping 1,200 minutes or 20 hours solid play - 5 hours a day.. ..then the wait times Posted Image

My thoughts exactly. This needs to be a Friday to Wednesday event at the very least.

Yeah we fought like demons. Afterwards the unit sorta just burned out. But it was a blast and I for one enjoyed all we did.

okay, seems like a nice event with nice prizes and everything. But first I would suggest that we can change factions without cooldown time till the event starts and second: 3 days for 40 (probaly more) cw-games?! thats ridiculous, that would be over 20 hours of play-time! And in the last Tukayyid event we had waiting times upt to an hour before every match due to the tons of players! And if youre unlucky, you waited so long just to get stomped...
I really appreciate that we get so many events lately, but I dont see how this will work out

Hey everyone,

We have adjusted the Personal Challenge goal structure to base it on cumulative Match Score over the course of the event, rather than the original per-Match/Event Point system. Event page has been updated with the new structure.

Well, that's a major improvement.

This could be done much easily within a 2-day span (like the last CW match score event).

Alex that is great! Thank you. Any word on if we will be able to break current contracts without a penalty to sign on with the faction we want before the start of the event?

Yeah didn't we get to do that last time?

Also its good that the requirements are match score based but isn't match score still divided by how many mechs you use? That really should be changed.

The contract resets during the last Tukayyid were performed by Support on a manual basis, and with the current flow of tickets and our Steam prep heavily underway we unfortunately don't have the resources to process contract resets on an individual basis this time around.

Why not do a Global reset of all contracts before the event ?

Alex, I understand. However, it is not a good idea to spring something like this on your population with no options. Had this been known a week before, I would not have gone Jaguar

Thank you for changing it to match score PGI. Posted Image

I have to work this weekend and the wife and kids are always buging me. Thier was no way I could put in the time for 40 CW's. Now it is very managable.

Much Love,

in all honesty, I think knowing stuff like this could happen should help people not be so wishy-washy about what faction you're in. Fine line between Mercs and Pirates and all that.

Also, this probably won't be the last time either. "Battle of Tukayyid" is pretty much just how each CW phase ends. Until CW's actually out of beta, "who owns Terra/Earth" doesn't really matter too much. The Important thing is just to enjoy yourself, earn loot, see how high your Unit can be in the Rankings (most of the well known good units are well known BECAUSE of last Tukayyid's scoreboard), and blow up mechs as a Team. Because, in the end, that's what we're all here for.

See you on the battlefield, MechWarriors.

4000 cumulative score instead of 40 x 100-point qualifying scores is a great change, thanks PGI.

I sincerely hope that isn't true; the official stats say only 17,226 players participated last time.

keep that number 17,226 in mind becuz i am 90% certain it will be much less this time.
as i said before this game is getting bad reviews across the board...dont count on steam players comeing to save your game from dieing...the reviews on steam wer so bad they took the post down advertising this game.
and most of the negative post ive read on other sites is directly related to the latest patch Posted Image

Well then this is a failed test in my eyes!
I realize the prizes are "o.k.", but not going to waste my time since I can't join the unit or/and the unit can't change because PGI failed to plan ahead.

If a Unit leader has their Contract reset it resets the Contract for all members in that Unit. If we performed a global reset and the Unit leader wasn't around to start a new Contract for their Unit and its members, all members in Unit would be stuck without a Faction for the Event, and would need to leave the Unit to start their own Contract.

Yeah, there was a significant amount of complaints from people who had to log in to reset their units faction. Not surprised they would rather not do that again.

@Gas, I agree. PGI SHOULD have used some foresight and told us up front this was going to happen,.
