Hi i believe that CW need's to be address'd for it's balance issue's with regards to being able to play it effectively.

I have found that while CW had been busy for the last few week's this has been mainly because of the fact that there was event's happening and not because it was an overwhelming joy to play, mainly because of the fact that when you have a random group of 12 player's with no coordination trying to play against a premade group of 8 or more player's you invariably get a whitewash for the premade (though not allway's) but more often than not you end up with the random team wiped out and them deciding why the hell do i play this game mode for?

I believe this need's to be looked at because i love playing CW but not when i'm against a premade of especially the really good unit's where i know that i'm going to be reamed in 10 minute's and get nothing for it. I may luck into a kill but when i can only do at best 500-600 dmg where i can normally do about 1100-1200 simply because i'm the focus for about 8 mech's fire at once all the time how can it be fun? Isn't that what game's are supposed to be?

Now i know there will be people who don't agree but all i ask is that you have a long hard look at the game's you've had and think on how much fun you've had, i've done this and i came to the realisation that i have far more fun in a tight game than i do in a onesided game.

5000th post like this only for the week... PGI cannot nerf teamwork. Clan mech Just got nerfed very bad. Just qq more or join a team. Player base for MWO is tiny, no you wont have pug queue in CW.

Put more politely, there's no solution. There is not and cannot be balanced matchmaking in CW. That's (as well as it can be) implemented in the solo queues. CW is deliberately different. It's not that we don't want balanced matchmaking there, but rather that it's simply impossible.

So, unless you have a real solution, just go play solo queue matches. CW is really not a lot of fun solo pugging. You know initially, they weren't even going to let solo players into CW? They do, now, but it is inherently a group activity. If you want to be successful there, you need to get into a group.

At the end it's all about communication (written or via mic). Since the first CW match during the current event I get along with that quite well. Just tell your team what to do or let someone else make a suggestion and here we go means that the whole team will follow. This is my actual point of view and also my experience.

MWO needs more social tools to enable players to form and recruit 12 man teams, which are known in BattleTech as mercenary companies.

VOIP helps. Looking For Group helps. But these are very elementary tools for forming short term groups that have difficulty matching experienced teams.

PGI needs to give us more ways to recruit players into 12 man teams who can compete on even footing in Faction Play. They should reward players who join units with features like these:

http://mwomercs.com/...es-unit-colors/

Furthermore, when launching Faction Play, I would suggest sending players into a "Hiring Hall" rather than directly to the planet map. In the Hiring Hall lobby, players could be required to sign up with one of the mercenary companies launching an attack or defense or to form a new group of 12 pilots in order to take a new contract and launch. Functionally, it might be very similar to looking for group, but it would have the effect of getting players accustomed to forming the teams they need to enjoy community warfare.

Community Warfare needs to be about community. Right now this game remains primarily focused on individual MechWarriors, rather than on forming mercenary companies to fight battles. That needs to change.

Why not? they removed big groups from taking on multiple solos in quickplay so why not do the same for CW?

I think the overall theme was to look into doing what they have done with quilck play where team's face of against teams and the match's are invariably close and i've seen more whiner's in pug drop's than i care to remember.

I agree with this post's overall sugestion to try to make it more fun and to make it so that pug's have chance to win with rudimentary comunication rather than seeing them get beaten down time and time again to a premade's better overall teamwork due to them playing together often as compared to a throw together pug team'd firdt time playing together. I don't believe that this thread is trying to say that premade's should be nerfed, rather that they should have a higher percentage of their matches against other premade's and therefore tighter matches than getting to stomp a pug drop for 9 outa 10 drop's. I think GI has a good idea, and while lightening has had good experience's with pug drop i had some shocker's over the course of the event where i was teamed with another memeber of my unit and no-one wanted to listen and just did what they wanted or were way to timid to do anything at all, I ended up leading a charge of 3 mech's outa 12 in a lurm boat because they were to afraid or some such to risk their mech's. This is from personal experience.
