They'd also have to do something about those leg weapon mounts.

I prefer this one,

4 M, 2 E and 2 B should be something i can work with.

Snort. That image is the original anime art that Battletech worked from. If anything, the Crusader is the blocky cousin...
One thing though, the head is wrong on that image. Is a VF-1A Cannon Fodder head on the Crusader.
End of day it's just a bit too similar to the Catapult. PGI may include it just to complete the release of the Phoenix/ Reseen/ SomeSeen, but with a rescale of the Catty coming up, the Crusader may not have much advantage over the Cat.

Leg weapons traditionally are placed in the adjoining torso. Already did it for the cicada.
Also, Humanoid usually means better hitboxes, and most variants also mount ballistics. So.... not that similar to the Catapult. And with some variants packing JJs, far more versatile than the Archer.
I'd still prefer a Phoenix Hawk, though.

PXH should be a priority; the medium lineup is getting stale, and need a shakeup. Same goes for Stingers, Wasps, Valks, and Ostscouts. Oh Ostscouts. I suspect if we dislike Spiders, Ostscouts might get additional hate.
And really, Indirect Fire mech. Getting seen is baaaaad.

Having torso AND arm M mounts may be better than Cats. But essentially one will replace the other, and that's actually not a good thing from a variety perspective.

Anyway, now that SRM's aren't as bad it'd be nice to have. I always like having additional 'mechs in game. It's supposed to be pretty common too, according to the sarna page.

are you serious??!
I'm only 24 so I'm far too young to like the classic crusader for nostalgia reasons, but I really think the 'reseen' cursaders all look like total garbage compared to the original.
If the crusader doesnt have that classic veritech style head, and those cool pylons on his back, I wont be interested.
but I guess they cant please everyone eh?
EDIT: we need IS streak 4s and 6s to make the crusader and archer more relevant

I read ya, I was just saying I prefer the anime one to the redesign, sadly I know we will likely get the 'reseen' variant.
Who knows though, the MAD looks very 'reseen' while the whammy and rifleman look closer to the destroid origins

Downside being heat.
LRMS, SRMS and Lasers gonna push the heat up pretty quick.

Out of the 3 re-seens so far, the Archer is easily the best looking.
Edit: It even has knuckle dusters!.

4? MAD, WHM, RFL and ARC?
But yeah, do agree. The MAD, I'm not a fan of, visually (3R is fun to play though), and both the WHM and RFL have traits that people either love or hate. On the ARC, really my only gripe might be the fists are too small.... but that's something I can overlook.
