Beautiful mech but I don’t see anything my Stalker can’t do (maybe better).
Or do I miss some something?
And I just fear after PGI „balance“ this mech there is nothing more outstanding in its gameplay.

Yeah that is the sad part isn't it. PGI has nerfed the fun out of SO MANY mechs in this game. I have about shelved 90% of my Clan line up because I don't care how much firepower you may have it just isn't fun if your overheating every 10 seconds and have the agility of a 120 year old granny.

YMMV. Personally I think his Archer was a swing and a miss. Too fat, with an odd looking CT/cockpit. I tend to trade off between Shim and Alex for design preference. But this one I'm 100% on Team Flying Debris. Marauder? 100% Team Shim.

Yes. but only VERY loosely related to Macross. Some are fringe case enough to get Un-Unseen. Such as the OST Mechs. All used to be Unseen. Haven't been though for years, now.

This is pretty much my only reason for wanting the 'mech. I don't expect it to be meta or anything.

That said, I'd rather send PGI some money for putting the Crusader in MW5 and sticking it to HG than I would to get 4 months of early access to a "that build you currently use, but with slightly higher mounts" 'mech. Like the Dragon Fire might be slightly better than my Warhammer, but not enough to justify spending money on it instead of just waiting for C-Bills.

'course what opens my wallet pretty much shuts yours, so PGI won't be able to make us both happy... but this is one of the few 'mechs I'd even consider buying.

Crusader... I loved this mech in Crescent Hawks Revenge (not so much when it had ran out of ammo).
However here, well, it willl just end up being another LRM boat for most mechdads

That definitely fits with MWO's oversized nature...
That'd dwarf the largest mechs in Battletech... poor 14.4 meter tall tallest mech in existence of the Clan invasion would feel quite inadequate next to that thing.

And its only 65 tons.
(Not the tallest mech, but... for a comparison..)

(One thing to remember it won't just be in MWO, it'll show up in MW5 Mercs where the mechs are closer to scale...but still big. The bigger it is made in MWO, the harder it'll be to shrink it for MW5 Mercs.)
