I only care about my trashcan badge, indeed

Yeah, some of the new badges are awesome, but my Urbie badge isn't going anywhere. Maybe if they release a Hatchetman badge, but until then...

Say hello to the Nova Prime, Awesome 8Q, Hunchback 4P....

This was one reason a lot of us were upset when 'ghost heat' became a thing. That and of course the fact that no firm rules seemed to govern what got ghost heat or how many were the max. I find it funny that PGI still hasn't addressed this really except to add IS MPLs recently when we see the first real IS laser boats.

Damn that Highlander looks SOOOO good. I love my old highlander, I just don't feel like I can compete well with it... it's just one of the toughest and most survivable mechs I found early on while playing. So, I'm insanely stoked about the new guy.

Oddly, the first time I saw the original highlander I thought it looked simply awful, visually. Head like a freaking stadium box seat section... but it grew on me and I think it's one of my favorites now. Odd how that happens.

Also, I can't stand how the original Jenner looks. It's the "normal" legs on this bizarre inhuman body type... but the backwards bent legs on the new one are just pure awesomeness now.

Nope.

My Oxide runs an XL280, endo, ferro. To fit 4 SRM4, 5 tons of ammo.

So I can run 6 cSRM6 with 4 tons of ammo with no problem. But since clan ferro is lighter I can probably run 6 cSRM6 with 4.5 tons of ammo.

Now it will run hot but it's alpha generates 28.2 heat (more like 24 if you don't invoke ghost heat) with just built in doubles that means you can alpha twice and run off to cool down without much trouble.

This is not an anti light build. It's an anti assault an anti heavy assassin mech.

4 tons of ammo, no JJs at an XL280.

Drop 2 of the 6s to 2s, alpha, grab another ton of ammo (1k damage) and a JJ or two (or half ton of ammo).

How CT centric it will be shall be seen. You don't want to stare at something too long.

I wasn't around when the preorder bonuses were available (took a break for a while). Thinking about dropping the $80 for the top pack then I read all about how I would be missing out on the cosmetic crap (no big deal) but also the 4 extra unique variants plus mech bays (big deal). [...]

PGI convinced me I'd be an idiot to buy the origins pack now I will just have to see if the game can keep my interest without shiny new mechs until the next preorder packs come... or I might get bored again and miss that preorder window and repeat the cycle until they've lost another player (the kind that doesn't hesitate to spend a lot of money under normal circumstances).

Absolutely in the same boat... I'll just wait for their release and buy the mechs which are deemed good by the community with cBills. Sole exception might be the Jenner because... Jenner was my first mech in MWO. It will probably rock as well.

If they didn't have the early adopter variants I would have bought the full pack 1-2 months ago(and probably the Resistance 2 Crab pack as well but they had to make the JJ Crab the early adopter variant).

Yes, that's 6 tons VS 9, 3 tons for stuff.

Same argument applies, 12+3.15 and 16+4.2 heat for each alpha, on a 60 heat capacity of 10 TrueDubs.

3 Alphas gets you somewhere

I'm just looking at the bonus variant of the Jenner and the Energy variant of the Hunchback.... Those seem most promising for CW, and then some.

Missile hunchie and ballastic hunchies seem like to me the public que, as are the rest.

The Jenner IIC will be (In my opinion), a troll build.

Slap on Streak 2s and 3-4 jump jets, full armor, a BAP and as much ammo as I can carry and boom! I can eat sum tasty lights :D

Need the faction patterns so I can see how they will actually look ... can't stand the blue and yellow. The models themselves look cool though. Jenner and Hunchy look better than I hoped, and the Orion and Highlander look OK too, but I'm not sad that I only bought the Hunchy package :D

This pattern on the Resistance 2 geo would look good for ork fans, but I want to see some Wolf faction camo Posted Image

Darn it, PGI! One job! Make the Orion's cockpit similar to the concept with the thinner less 'in your face' cockpit bars. But ya did it again! Nuuuuuuuu! Also was the texture size dropped again? It seems to be blocky in a few places, specifically the Hunchie and the Orion.
But other than that they looked pretty damn good, the Hunchie looks mean af.

Ohooy! They look great.Looks like a Swedish team indeed Posted Image Some nitpicks are there. The Highlanders clustered energy hardpoints seems a bit to far from each other and a bit much to the left. The Orions cockpit could have been a bit narrower/ smaller in general and the textures could be a bit sharper. Most noticable on the white-blue jagged lines. Otherwise nice job PGI!
