Try using a different mech/build/weapon system that you never tried?
Try CW?
Try playing something else and come back later off?
There is only so much you can do with a game. It can't last forever.

take a break. Too many gamers dedicate anythign for a single game and then feel either bored out or burned out. This often happens because they invets a large sum of money into them and then they feel like "losing" this all if they don't play it.
Play something else, come back later play a few rounds and it will feel like more fun again.

Its owning and customizing YOUR mechs
..like a car collection
You modify the loadouts and weapons and take pride and identify with Your Mechs
Thats a major part of the fun man.
...give it a go, buy and build a Mech to Your personality and take m out.

if only Pgi add crazy XP eating skills to specialism in mechs like 300.000 for 5% better cooling or something
that will likely attracts my interest.

They killed mech personality with ghost heat. My personality is 6ppc stalkers. 12er peep direwolves.
The more they do this the more All mechs are the same with difference skins. I honestly never had a problem with troll buildsthe 6 ppc stalker. It was hilaroious and awesome and even with no ghost heat was always troll.

Wrong way of approaching it. Its not what PGI can do for you but what you can do for PGI. That said, still the best Stompy Robits game around, you'll be back.

This is why I support GH at least until they find a better way to counter builds like this. Troll indeed.

Your reasoning is wrong. It is a game, there is not reason to play MWO besides wanting to fill your spare time doing so. If you need to ask for a reason to play, you may be playing the wrong game.
I have been active in this game since closed beta. Building mechs, trying mechs, rebuilding mechs, posting those that work and discussing those that don't, talking to online friends over TS, discussing with those friends over TS, making posters for the unit, playing competitive drops for the unit, etc, etx, and so on.
I enjoy every single activity listed. Thus I continue performing them. Once I stop getting enjoyment out of them I will stop. Plain and simple. Why did you open this thread actually?

Yea cos its not like we have fast clan mechs that could vomit 70+pts of pinpoint damage in the game now.
the 6ppc stalker was mega fun. I feel sorry for you if you didn't enjoy it. Some of my best memories are of 2013 MWO 6ppc stalker and ac 40 cat.
Back when the game was more pure.
Ghost heat is like diluting a good whiskey with water.

In such type of games you have to entertain yourself most of the time.
Try to roleplay a little, choose your favorite faction, play only on mechs related to this faction (plus maybe read few BT books, watch the Animated Series). Dont go for meta, use maximum diversity for your loadouts. And play for fun, not goal. Because such games do not have it.
And hopefully, sometime in future CW will be more entertaining, with lore units and other promised stuff. And you will be ready for it.
At least this is what keeps me playing.

Yep it is true.
If you like playing the 10 minute "instant action" of the quick play queue then you will stick around over the longer term even if you don't play that much just because you like the game.
If you like lore and factions then you will likely stick around for group drops in CW (assuming they are fun and assuming PGI ever offers some sort of reward and meaning to the units/PUGs doing the work).
However, MWO has fundamentally missed the boat since closed beta on mechanisms for longer term player retention. The game gets boring ... PGI revenues are directly linked to how long players remain interested and the value they see in acquiring new and different mechs and leveling them up. Lots of folks posted about this issue in closed beta but it was all pretty much ignored. Every time there is an influx of new players the issue comes up again ... and is further ignored ... though PGI did eventually introduce CW ... but that can't be the only mechanism of generating match to match interest because only a fraction of the player base actually cares about CW at all.
Anyway, there are several suggested "pillars" or game mechanics to increase match to match interest and thus player retention.
1) CW
2) Competitive ladders ... this could include Solaris game modes
3) Revised and meaningful XP system that allows customization of XP quirks on a chassis by chassis basis ... just look at the perks/quirks/skill trees from ANY MMO out there ... PGIs is probably the most pitiful, useless and boring.
4) PVE
Good luck PGI .. the base game has come a long way but you are still missing the boat on the revenue drivers from longer term player retention.

Oh, I dislike those Clan builds too. I'm sure you had fun, but I got little enjoyment out of either end of a 6PPC insta-gib. I'm sure very few of your opponents were overjoyed either.
