gaming mouse, can't help you with as I am using a dell usb one I found in a draw...

Headset I use a "Creative labs Fatal1ty hs800". I find it comfy for my big head and ears, mike works well, and I can carry on conversations in the room as it is not noise cancelling (so great when playing at home, I can talk to my wife while in CW que). Also pretty cheap that I am not too mad if the kids break them. (first set lasted 2 years of a 7 year old playing minecraft, wrapping the cables around the wheels of the PC chair, walking off with them on her head etc)

For mice
Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury $44 in amazon very durable and good mouse.
Logitech g502 Proteus around 60 in amazon high end mouse, personal favorite next to sensei; amazing piece.
Steelseries sensei kinda expensive but great mouse around 80 bucks.
Steelseries sensei raw on a budget, great mouse less customizable and around$38.Very good.
Razer mamba tournament around $80. Looks good, kinda expensive but very good nontheless.

For headset
Plantronics GameCom 780 on a budget around $25, sound is great for the price.
steelseries Siberia v2 around $80. great headset, very comfortable
hyper x cloud II gaming headset. great pricey quality item. around 100 bucks.
Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma Sound USB Gaming Headset around $80.
creative sound blaster h3 around $70. great sound and looks great.(personal favorite next to Siberia 2)

Sure there are many others, but these are products me and my family have tried and haven't had a problem with them some of them having 2 years and going strong; so I would recommend.

Cheers, happy hunting.

I use a Hyper X cloud II headset. Very comfy, great bass and sound quality and so far I can say it is well built. Cheaper version is the cloud I, but I can recommend the II for the 7.1 surround inline sound box. I always have it turned on, it does sound better. Apart from that the cheaper cloud I is the same headset.

Problem with headsets is ballistics force me to turn the sound right down. Hurts the ear drums.

I use a corsair M-60 mouse. Was a Christmas present and works OK. But then I don't like using more than 2 weapons groups. I like the fact that I have 3 position resolution switch to quickly go from high dpi brawling to low dpi for long range sniping. It is used with a Razer Nostromo key pad. Tried a Joystick, but this game doesn't like joysticks. The aim point drifts and has a tendency over correct.
I use either a Plantronics 995H or Logitec G930 headset. Both do a good job. The Plantronics headset does not have replaceable batteries. I won't buy another headset that doesn't have them. Hence the Logitec G930 which was a Black Friday special.

I recently changed from a Logitech G9 to a G502 Proteus mouse, which is very good. I have friends that have the R.A.T which is a very good mouse also, very customizable.
I did have a Corsair headset which I wouldn't recommend, as the their drivers for 7.1 are very bad. Although they were very comfortable and stereo sound was very nice. I am using the Logitech G633 Artemis headset now, which are comfortable and have good software. Uses the same gaming software as the mouse, which was one of the reasons I went for them.

OP, I could give you an earful on recommendations but it's hard to really target your needs without getting a budget, and really, the sky is the limit.

The G502 may be the mouse to have for all but hardcore MMO play, but insofar as sound goes there are numerous routes to take with big strengths and weaknesses, and prices realistically range from $20 to $200. If money's absolutely no object, get an Audio Technica A900x on sale for $149 (they're $300 headphones), buy a mic to mount to it and get a Xonar U3 for gaming surround (there's probably a DAC/AMP combo that's better for music use). Is money no object?

I just got the VOID USB 7.1 headset and SABRE laser mouse, both by Corsair. They are excellent.

I would agree with the Matcatz post for the mouse, or, the mouse I currently use is a Roccat Tyon http://www.roccat.or...ming-Mice/Tyon/. What is particularly great about this mouse is the symmetrical buttons, so your weapon groups 1 to 6 can all be mapped with a left/right grouping.

Only note about the Tyon. The software takes a few moments to save a configuration. Not a big deal since you won't be programing it often.

As for headsets, if you can afford the G933, it is probably the finest wireless headset I have purchased from Logtech. You can use it with you computer, game console, stereo, house phone, and mobile phone (the phones are purely in a wired mode.)

BTW, buy the headset at BestBuy, it is far cheaper than online.

Logitech g 502 proteus is what ive been using, and I've tried many.
good choice of buttons and the 'slow' function button when zoomed is awesome. I use 3 effective groups, sometimes 4.
no headset. I use speakers or my noise cancelling bose I I need to,.

no name Double a battery powered brand would not touch.
If your budget is that low then stick with a wired mouse.

Otherwise go slightly higher

Awesome, thank you. Yeah, my budget is not low I just have never had a pure gaming mouse so wasn't sure what I should be looking for.

What I linked above looked like a good deal, with mouse, mouse pad and headset. So, I came here to get some advice :)

Thank you,
Fulgar

I pre-ordered the Tyon and am still using it. I would not recommend any Razer product and have shed all but my "bought used" Orbweaver (before their QC went poo-poo). ROCCAT has superior customer service (I ordered the Ryos MK Pro and it came with two F4 keys), as getting an F5 key shipped from Germany took less than a week, as opposed to an RMA on a Razer Naga 2014 which took over two months.

For a headset I use the Kingston Hyper X.

Logitech g13, 510, 600 and 930 is what I'm using. The 930 headset has been known to have a low life span, however I just called logitech and they sent me a few spares. Yes, I asked for a few. Amazing headset... but again battery.

You could be one of those Razer junkies and get a Kraken and a MMO reliable mouse, Don't go Mad Cats... their polymer doesn't last very long.. and if you play near a window.. their plastics crack under sunlight within a year. Unless you're one of those intense gamers who go through gear like pro xbox players do... than Seriously go logitech. The structure of their designs outclass Razer.

The g13 and 600 compliment assigning your hotkeys like there is no tomorrow. Balancing between the 3rd mouse click and the 12 thumb buttons takes practice... but I now use mine from MWO, to DmC, to FPS', DayZ, Elite Dangerous... It's really nice to have all your stuff integrated.

- and I don't use macro's
