Headset I use a "Creative labs Fatal1ty hs800". I find it comfy for my big head and ears, mike works well, and I can carry on conversations in the room as it is not noise cancelling (so great when playing at home, I can talk to my wife while in CW que). Also pretty cheap that I am not too mad if the kids break them. (first set lasted 2 years of a 7 year old playing minecraft, wrapping the cables around the wheels of the PC chair, walking off with them on her head etc)

Headset is not a gaming one.

Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury $44 in amazon very durable and good mouse.
Logitech g502 Proteus around 60 in amazon high end mouse, personal favorite next to sensei; amazing piece.
Steelseries sensei kinda expensive but great mouse around 80 bucks.
Steelseries sensei raw on a budget, great mouse less customizable and around$38.Very good.
Razer mamba tournament around $80. Looks good, kinda expensive but very good nontheless.
For headset
Plantronics GameCom 780 on a budget around $25, sound is great for the price.
steelseries Siberia v2 around $80. great headset, very comfortable
hyper x cloud II gaming headset. great pricey quality item. around 100 bucks.
Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma Sound USB Gaming Headset around $80.
creative sound blaster h3 around $70. great sound and looks great.(personal favorite next to Siberia 2)
Sure there are many others, but these are products me and my family have tried and haven't had a problem with them some of them having 2 years and going strong; so I would recommend.
Cheers, happy hunting.

Problem with headsets is ballistics force me to turn the sound right down. Hurts the ear drums.

I use either a Plantronics 995H or Logitec G930 headset. Both do a good job. The Plantronics headset does not have replaceable batteries. I won't buy another headset that doesn't have them. Hence the Logitec G930 which was a Black Friday special.

I did have a Corsair headset which I wouldn't recommend, as the their drivers for 7.1 are very bad. Although they were very comfortable and stereo sound was very nice. I am using the Logitech G633 Artemis headset now, which are comfortable and have good software. Uses the same gaming software as the mouse, which was one of the reasons I went for them.

The G502 may be the mouse to have for all but hardcore MMO play, but insofar as sound goes there are numerous routes to take with big strengths and weaknesses, and prices realistically range from $20 to $200. If money's absolutely no object, get an Audio Technica A900x on sale for $149 (they're $300 headphones), buy a mic to mount to it and get a Xonar U3 for gaming surround (there's probably a DAC/AMP combo that's better for music use). Is money no object?

Only note about the Tyon. The software takes a few moments to save a configuration. Not a big deal since you won't be programing it often.
As for headsets, if you can afford the G933, it is probably the finest wireless headset I have purchased from Logtech. You can use it with you computer, game console, stereo, house phone, and mobile phone (the phones are purely in a wired mode.)

BTW, buy the headset at BestBuy, it is far cheaper than online.

good choice of buttons and the 'slow' function button when zoomed is awesome. I use 3 effective groups, sometimes 4.
no headset. I use speakers or my noise cancelling bose I I need to,.

no name Double a battery powered brand would not touch.
If your budget is that low then stick with a wired mouse.
Otherwise go slightly higher

I pre-ordered the Tyon and am still using it. I would not recommend any Razer product and have shed all but my "bought used" Orbweaver (before their QC went poo-poo). ROCCAT has superior customer service (I ordered the Ryos MK Pro and it came with two F4 keys), as getting an F5 key shipped from Germany took less than a week, as opposed to an RMA on a Razer Naga 2014 which took over two months.
For a headset I use the Kingston Hyper X.

You could be one of those Razer junkies and get a Kraken and a MMO reliable mouse, Don't go Mad Cats... their polymer doesn't last very long.. and if you play near a window.. their plastics crack under sunlight within a year. Unless you're one of those intense gamers who go through gear like pro xbox players do... than Seriously go logitech. The structure of their designs outclass Razer.
The g13 and 600 compliment assigning your hotkeys like there is no tomorrow. Balancing between the 3rd mouse click and the 12 thumb buttons takes practice... but I now use mine from MWO, to DmC, to FPS', DayZ, Elite Dangerous... It's really nice to have all your stuff integrated.
- and I don't use macro's
