I know it's been suggested numerous times basically every time a leaderboard event takes place, but maybe this is the time PGI will rethink leaderboard scoring. Maybe.
Also thanks for the free stuff for folks like me that hate your leaderboard events. Personal challenge only took a couple of hours.

We do. PGI does not understand PR, though. Making money-only rewards available only to people who already bought stuff with money in a free to play game -- not a bright idea.

and easier to get than the leaderboard prizes , besides its only 1000mc, thats like not even $5 and extremely hard to get into top 5 anyhoo

As such, I was in the top 50 on one of the Orion IIC queues... for a little while. As of this post, I'm still 52nd with that mech, and I think I only played six games in it. Of course, there was another reason why I'm happy.
I recently got a group of friends of mine to play. They live on the other side of the world to me, and had been dragging me into League of Legends matches with them. Needless to say, despite League being one of the other games I play, I don't quite like the 250 ping I get playing with them on the North American servers. That being said, I was ecstatic to get up in the morning to find a new Skype group waiting for me, with three "Steam noobs" counting off the event achievements as they scored them. Even though I couldn't join them before work, just talking to them about their builds and/or future mech purchases was enough to get me happy... although two people asking me for Marauder, Warhammer and/or Archer packages did get annoying.
So again, thank you. The event has been great, both leaderboard and general. The upcoming stocking stuffer will be helpful as well, and I think you might have a new group ready and waiting for a chance to play more often.

So If it can be done in UrbanMech it can be done in anymech.

group queue abuse and farming sometimes happens with this new system... sadly!

Apparently you don't Making profit is part of business. If you don't make a profit, what is the point or motivation? PR wise, they provided a rewards system for ALL players this week. The rest of the leadership board is for those that paid to play. That is pretty cool. They didn't have to do that, but they did. The people complaining about the leadership board participation opt in are trying to ride the backs of those that helped the company by giving them PROFIT. Thank you PGI for this event to allow your CUSTOMERS to get a little more for supporting the game.
I missed out on one of these events with the warhammer deal. Hate the warhammer, might have grumbled about it, but that is because I thought the warhammer event was better than the marauder (which I bought).
As far as PR is concerned. You do have a point on something, but entirely something else. We have to follow twitter to really know what is going on and not on the forums. That would have been a point well made.

Wow, about 1800 people bought Hunchback IIC packs though only about 550 seem to use the 4th variant.

Because I'm pretty sure a lot of the people in the top 50 should be having more than 3000 cumulative score by now. That's just barely 300 score over the best ten matches, not that difficult to achieve.

2).I'm sure there is something wrong with calculations and scores... Check it please, guys! Same time I don't get where are "old" feature to see yours score anytime independent are you in top 50 or no...
3) FFS let us see games counted in leaderboard tab! I'm sure I'm not alone who want to see how many games our leaders played to achieve their places!..
4) If you make individual challenge don't let players use groups! Because guy who can call some friends to help him achieve max scores and 100% solo player are in different weight classes...

MGA is right, why can't we see a list of our qualifying matches and scores like in every previous event? Previous events also used the actual ingame match score rather than a completely separate calculation. Coincidence?
