Nice event, easy goals, met most them in my first 5 or 6 matches. Except for the dang Conquest Victory. I can't buy a conquest victory right now! LOL

Couldn't get one during all of the Autumn things. I just could not win a conquest match!

Should make leaderboard events averages with a required minimum number of matches. It would help cut down on the terrible gameplay as people would care about every game rather than derping to death 95% of the time because 5% of the time the derp move does something magical and helps the player improve on the leaderboards. Would also prevent the need to play for a full weekend as more games would lead to diminishing returns. Or make leaderboard event only queues without tier-based matchmaking.

I know it's been suggested numerous times basically every time a leaderboard event takes place, but maybe this is the time PGI will rethink leaderboard scoring. Maybe.

Also thanks for the free stuff for folks like me that hate your leaderboard events. Personal challenge only took a couple of hours.

We do. PGI does not understand PR, though. Making money-only rewards available only to people who already bought stuff with money in a free to play game -- not a bright idea.

im pretty sure all the rewards cept the cbills and consumable pack in the personal challenge money only rewards

and easier to get than the leaderboard prizes , besides its only 1000mc, thats like not even $5 and extremely hard to get into top 5 anyhoo

I liked the rewards and point levels for the personal challenge. I've been wanting the pressure chamber warhorn but not for 750 mc :) .

Well, I've got two points. Firstly, thank you, PGI, for running this challenge. It's the busiest week of the year at work, and instead of going to bed at a reasonable hour, it's been 2am each day for the two days this has run. Plus some time before work...

As such, I was in the top 50 on one of the Orion IIC queues... for a little while. As of this post, I'm still 52nd with that mech, and I think I only played six games in it. Of course, there was another reason why I'm happy.

I recently got a group of friends of mine to play. They live on the other side of the world to me, and had been dragging me into League of Legends matches with them. Needless to say, despite League being one of the other games I play, I don't quite like the 250 ping I get playing with them on the North American servers. That being said, I was ecstatic to get up in the morning to find a new Skype group waiting for me, with three "Steam noobs" counting off the event achievements as they scored them. Even though I couldn't join them before work, just talking to them about their builds and/or future mech purchases was enough to get me happy... although two people asking me for Marauder, Warhammer and/or Archer packages did get annoying.

So again, thank you. The event has been great, both leaderboard and general. The upcoming stocking stuffer will be helpful as well, and I think you might have a new group ready and waiting for a chance to play more often.

Well I finish the Event Using Nothing but STD 60 Engine UrbanMechs (Added Endo-Steel to them for Extra Ammo, the UM-R63, Drop the S-pulse for a S-Laser and added More Ammo)

So If it can be done in UrbanMech it can be done in anymech.

One good thing about the old leader board system was that it only took SOLO play into account.

group queue abuse and farming sometimes happens with this new system... sadly!

Any way we can check on the ten matches we are doing for the leadership boards for the individual mechs. I see the huge listing of mechs with scores, but no break down look up for the individual games played on that particular model.

Apparently you don't Making profit is part of business. If you don't make a profit, what is the point or motivation? PR wise, they provided a rewards system for ALL players this week. The rest of the leadership board is for those that paid to play. That is pretty cool. They didn't have to do that, but they did. The people complaining about the leadership board participation opt in are trying to ride the backs of those that helped the company by giving them PROFIT. Thank you PGI for this event to allow your CUSTOMERS to get a little more for supporting the game.

I missed out on one of these events with the warhammer deal. Hate the warhammer, might have grumbled about it, but that is because I thought the warhammer event was better than the marauder (which I bought).

As far as PR is concerned. You do have a point on something, but entirely something else. We have to follow twitter to really know what is going on and not on the forums. That would have been a point well made.

It's a nice event but all the lurms break my FPS and so it's taking me double the time it would take to complete it, not to mention I have the bad habit of pressing R and the lurms fly to my targets getting the killing blow before me. I really should learn to play with the R button... Posted Image

Personal Challenges done.

Wow, about 1800 people bought Hunchback IIC packs though only about 550 seem to use the 4th variant.

Are these leaderboards only counting wins for scores?

Because I'm pretty sure a lot of the people in the top 50 should be having more than 3000 cumulative score by now. That's just barely 300 score over the best ten matches, not that difficult to achieve.

1) I dont get it - what the reason to make so hardly calculated formula instead just count via match scores?...

2).I'm sure there is something wrong with calculations and scores... Check it please, guys! Same time I don't get where are "old" feature to see yours score anytime independent are you in top 50 or no...

3) FFS let us see games counted in leaderboard tab! I'm sure I'm not alone who want to see how many games our leaders played to achieve their places!..

4) If you make individual challenge don't let players use groups! Because guy who can call some friends to help him achieve max scores and 100% solo player are in different weight classes...

Oh, I get what is happening here. The calculations for the scores on the leaderboard are different from the scores ingame! That's why everyone's numbers are so low for a 10 match cumulative score.

MGA is right, why can't we see a list of our qualifying matches and scores like in every previous event? Previous events also used the actual ingame match score rather than a completely separate calculation. Coincidence?

Damage is weighted less in the formula, which is a good thing IMHO.

I'm worried about the stocking stuffer event coming up soon. In the past we had to play on all game modes so many times to unlock our number of stockings. The current voting method is goin to piss a lot of people off that need to play certain game modes to get their match counts in for their stockings. As it stands now, some games modes just don't get played as much and so are passed over in voting A LOT. If I need to get my play time in on certain game modes, I don't want to go into a game with a CHANCE that I'll get to play he game mode I need for the event. If I need so many matches on conquest for example, I want to do all my conquest games and get them over with. I don't want to have to fight though votes just to MAYBE play what I need.
