On average, yes, but the mixed drops still happen. Which is, I believe, their point - you reach the top of the leaderboards in these events by simply playing enough games to record 10 stellar performances in those infrequent mixed drops.

That could take 100+ games... but there are people who do that in these tourneys just to get into the top 5.

Unless there are groups specifically forming to help people on the leaderboards, I don't think there is an issue of people taking advantage of group queue. I don't believe you'll find a significant amount of people willing to dedicate time to help grow someone else's e-peen. Typically in groups, everyone is doing their best to get a good score. A group would have to be going around legging and dismembering enemy mechs so that a single player could farm damage/kills. Sorry don't see it happening.

I did LFG since no one in QQ was on. Most of the guys there were Tier 3-, I had excellent scores even on losses.

So if people want to game groups as a Tier 1, it'd be joining into a group of low tier players to get preferable matching.

Then you must not know how to watch videos on YouTube. Been evidence in the past of group mongering.

And yes, people are good enough to skin mechs and leave kills for others. Seen it happen before.

But if your opinion protects your ego, go with that.

I never said people aren't "good enough" to do it, just that it's unlikely you are going to have a group of people willing to pump one player for leaderboards. I haven't seen any video of it and frankly anyone who would record doing this as something to be proud of is ridiculous. I also don't spend my time watching MWO videos of people trying to do leaderboard challenges. That sounds like the biggest waste of my time possible. Not sure what my ego or opinion has to do with anything we are talking about here.

Is joining LFG exploiting PSR mechanics? I don't know, I don't really think so? It's certainly is not as bad as having a premade of good players pump your stats as others have suggested.
