Voting System Needs To Die

If PGI has a brain they will look at the MM stats and just deep 6 the voting garbage and go back to a simple map and game mode rotation system or back to what we had before where I could pick assault mode and finish my challenge.
Russ PGI quit being stupid and stubborn and get rid of the crappy vote system.

The voting system is not a problem for me anymore, i made peace with the fact some people don;t want to be there with me on Conquest or Assault and will not participate in any meaningful manner.
Im just waiting to see what other choices in game they will remove when the player base has bleeded enough to nullify the voting benefits. Make your bets! chassis weight? Adding CW in the voting queue? Exciting!

What needs to change is removing the ability to switch vote. Too many map/mode vote multiplier padders changing their vote at the last second. Set it so when you click your vote in, it is locked. If there are too many complaints about accidentally clicking the wrong thing, allow to remove vote. But, not allow them to vote again that round. Lesson for everyone to pick the mode and map you really want to play, and stop playing it like a mini game.
That way, PGI can figure out which maps and modes the community really likes, and stops the trolls from choosing the worst map/mode combination when they padded enough to multiplier votes.

The cold maps seems to get picked the most because people don't want to deal with hot maps and the extra heat. I love in CW that we have to play on whatever map comes up and deal with it.

If you see your map or mode, VOTE. If you don't get it, you get a multiplier.
If your map or mode is not an option, DON'T VOTE! You will not lose your multiplier.
Eventually, you WILL get your map or mode. It'll either get voted for or your multiplier will get high enough and force it.

The reasons for the Vote system have been explained and yet the hissy fits continue. So "No" to random modes and now No to a Vote system. Wtf is PGI supposed to do now. Put in 3 different game/mode selection Options so that every hissy fitter can have their own?
Being only concerned about "yourself" and what "you" want is great and all but what about the other 56 players of MWO?..

All maps should get equal playtime. Too many people are scared of Terra Terma for example, though its weird that the almost as hot map, Tourmaline Desert gets picked more often.
Gamemodes? Much more important that the most useful and fun ones get upvoted. "Dosent that count for maps as well?" Well the maps are slowly getting redone, not much problems with them, really.
The game modes are pretty shallow. It was kinda a mistake and the bigger of two evils to remove turrets from Assault. Conquest is... resonable, though it could be spiced up with upcoming A.I possibilities along with turrets.

The voting was implemented because of the hissyfit on waiting time, not he random map drop. No one was bitching about random map system. And it was explecitly said that the voting would lower the waiting time. Tis all bout the waiting time.

Example: played maybe 6 public matches yesterday. Noted that for several drops in a row Alpine and Frozen City were nearly always 2 of the four. Since one of them nearly always won the vote, I decided to take my White (Black) Knight with 4 ERLL out for a spin. Next match came up and no cold or open map in site. Terra Therma won the vote. Sigh.
Take a short range build, you get Alpine. Take a fast mech with a cap accelerator (yes I run one occasionally), you get Skirmish, etc.
I realize this is a petty grievance. I don't normally mind the voting system, but when trying to master a specialized build it really ups the feeling of an unpleasant grind.
What I would like maybe a 20 second window during the count down or more preferably after the map is selected, during which to select the mech you want to run.
