just want to know what mech you guys would primarily pilot. and i want to point out that odds are your not gonna be riding in clan mechs for a few years and especially your not going to be piloting mechs like the fafnir. since it comes out 20+ years in the future. it is just not reasonable. and also you will be able to start in any class you wish. and all mechs are available to all houses, as well as mercs and lone wolves. there are no clan factions yet.

For now (till Shadow Hawk makes it into the game), I will probably go with heavy Catapult, but if some good medium comes in, I would pobably switch over.

Medium for me because they are one of the most common types in the inner sphere and can perform nearly any task from fire support to scouting to supporting heavies and assaults in a brawl, depending on the chassis of course.

btw i would go black knight once i can afford one. no ammo and decent heat dispersion. at 75 tons it is tough but not as slow and limited as an assault. but i would most likely start out in a catapult, crab, or hunchback.

I go light because i like to go fast and the lights are where the speed is. I might not get as many kills but you can be sure ill see more of the maps than the heavy and assualt mechs. Plus i like the idea of running behind an assualt mech and stinging him repeatedly with a med laser. The mech i would be driving if avalable at launch is the Locust.

I'll will go medium or fast heavy like the Dragon. I just have seemed to have trouble with the slower heavys and no luck with assaults.

I voted heavy but if they give us some of the lighter assalts like a Victor or Battlemaster i may go bigger. If they give us the Orion it will make my choice very hard to make. I love the big mechs with big guns I'd drive an Atlas if it didn't handle like a sumo wrestler in lead dive boots.

I don't like the really heavy assaults, they seem too slow for me. Victor is probably the highest up I'll go, unless I'm allowed to stuff a stalker with jumpjets.
I'd stay in mediums, most likely, stick to Vindicator or something.

I'm still in Love with my Cyclops for my Merc. Command Mech. But if I had my wish I would hang out in my King Crab. I love using this thing in an urban environment. Hang out, defend a position and watch the armor fly!!

I'll bet that there's gonna be a ton of munchkins around who will ask "where is teh Daishi?" when this game launches.

You are going to be disappointed then, the Uziel gets first produced in 3063, the launch date is set in 3049.

Mediums. Enough firepower to hold their own in most situations, and generally mobile enough to GTFO when everything falls on it's face.
