Actually, it's 36 years off, it gets mass produced in 3085.

Light and Medium 'mechs for me. I will pilot the faster of the heavies, those with a running speed of 85kph, if I am given no other choice. Despise piloting assaults. Reconnaissance, Scouting and Hit-and-Run jobs for me.

At our timeline I'd go for the Urbanmech for light mech duty if neccessary, tough I'd probably prefer to pilot a Clint (medium) and a Rifleman or Catapult (heavy). I'll also keep a Zeus or Stalker around for assaultmech goodness.

In advanced timelines I'll go for the PTR-6T Penetrator, my favorite mech of all time, and a Bushwacker as my medium mech of choice.

Enforcer - 4R and when the year 3050 comes upgrade it to the 5D or a nice Centurion - 9A and whenever possible upgrade/swap it to the CN9-D

^_^ In true Lyran style, Assault. Hey, I can do a bit of scouting with my Zeus or Atlas.

Mediums, most likely. Best mix of speed, firepower, and armor. Some of the lighter heavies can match it, but I'm not a big fan of the Dragon, for example.

Mediums or Heavies. In most BT and MW games im driving mechs wich weight between 40 and 80 tons. Lighter doesnt work out well for me.
Heavier is either to sluggish or too much of a prime target.
I prefer mechs that can actually move so 5/8 movement is desireable however 4/6 is okay for mechs beyond 60 tons. 3/5 is too slow imho.
I like mechs that are flexible enough to react to different situations. If im driving something with long range wepons it better has some backup es well. Id be very happy to get a Shadowhawk or Hunchback. Id prefer a Warhammer though. I never was good with LRMs so a Catapult most likely wouldt do it for me. A Grand Dragon would be fine as well. If i have to start in a light mech id be happy to get a Panther or Jenner.
Something that has at least a bit oumpf to it. If i should go up to Assaults id liketo get a Zeus or maybe later a Warhammer IIC if i can capture one.

i am a heavy pilot myself as long as the mech has a good blend of speed and firepower. if none suit me then i will probably drive a heavy med mech.

Most of my faves are right aroung the cut-off between Light and Medium, so I will likely be hopping across that line and playing both.

I intend to utilize lights and mediums for the most part, though if the Marauder (hint hint) makes it in-game then I will definitely play with that. Generally Assaults and Heavies are nice, but too slow for my taste.

I vote Med, there seems to be more variety at that weight range.

Refer to the table below

InnerSphere Clan (after implementation)
Light Owens Couger
Medium Bushwacker Rabid Coyote
Heavy Dragon MadDog
Assault None (Too slow) Mad Cat MK2

I would prefer a Yeomen as an IS heavy but they R to modern to ever be implemented
The Rabid Coyote is my overall preference
