Full nonsens !

The user has to learn to use search. And then to invent the bicycle!

See -Battletech CCG

http://dc244.4shared...f1/preview.html or http://www.sarna.net/wiki/CCG

If you had the trouble to read the OP, not only the topic title, you would see that I acknowledged the existence of Battletech CCG. (right there, in the second paragraph)

But are you saying I should not make a board/card game because of an old Battletech Card Game? (which I have, appreciate and still play these days, BTW).
That`s the same of telling PGI not to do MWO because there were other Mechwarrior videos games released before.

And for God's sake, the mechanic of this game has nothing to do with the Battletech CCG.

I will be reworking this and replacing the images of the mechs by screenshots of the actual variants.

Unfortunately, my computer can't run MWO in good specs, so any help from the community is really appreciated.

So, I need screenshots for each variant in the game, in good quality. Any one for the job?

well, you ever consider doing it with new art to avoid issues if you ever wanted to make it a "paying" game? Sure some names would need changed, but that seems minor.

The cool thing is to play MWO in a tabletop - making new "robots" with new names would only be a different game.

But hey, if you want to start a partnership here, I can design a whole new game.

Nice work. Ignore the haters. Just be careful when borrowing parts from other game systems. "Tapping" for example is strictly MtG only and can get you in trouble, even if the game is free.

Other than that, carry on! :(

Thanks.

Please explain the "borrowing parts from other games" and the "tapping" stuff.

Here is a sample image:

They look cool. Are you making them as actual cards and if so (if it isn't forbidden) do you put them out for collectors?

I'm making as a full printable game.If there is interest, I can keep working on this and update the game to the latest mechs.

The work in the new version is slow but steady. All mech cards done (including all new mechs except the Clanners) - still need to finish the rules revision and make the new mechs' "miniature" cards.

Just saw this post.

Anyway, WotC trademarked the term "tapping" for turning a card sideways to indicate it's use. This is why other card games use things like "lock" or "kneel" or some such. They aren't shy about enforcing this trademark with an iron fist either, so being free won't save you from hellfire.

Just be aware of what game terminology is copyright, trademark, or patent.

Thanks for the heads up. I will change the term for something like "spent", "exhausted" or "depleted".

Odanan, tried links. Too old evidently. Are you still working on this?
